Not a bad foot switch
good foot switch, works well, my only complaint which is minor, it is a bit small but very functional.

Excellent value for the money
The foot switch pedal seems to be an excellent buy for the money. There is a firm and very noticeable resistance, as to where I can actually leave my foot on the pedal without switching it, and can easily click down with my foot and activate it. There is a distinct click when depressed and it feels like it will last a long time. Also there is a sort if rubber pad covering the entire bottom and it does not move around at all on the floor.I will add to this review if and when the pedal fails.I am a licensed general class ham radio operator and am using this switch along with my yaesu ft 991A radio. I use the pedal many times per day and will continue to use it until it fails. It's a perfect fit considering the wire is long and the connector is a 1/4" straight ts style plug. (Mono large headphone plug)It works, and is less than half the cost of a 'fancy' branded switch.

Works great for how cheap it is.
Works great with my Heil headset and icom 7300

Works well.
Bought this for my new microphone setup for my Ham radio. So far it has worked extremely well as it is made of metal not plastic so it should hold up well with extended use. The cord is plenty long enough but needs to be a heavier gauge. Came with a large 1/4th inch phono plug so you you might also want to order a 1/4th to 3.5 mm adapter so it can be used with newer electronic applications. KE0SJQ

5 Stars for price and performance
I have used it with a Yaesu FT-450D, Kenwood TS-590SG and a ICOM IC-7300. It works well. It hasn't become stuck and does not bind even if stomped from a bad angle. I had a more expensive switch that would bind and not depress unless you were lined up right down the middle of it. During a QSO you will sound more relaxed setting back with a mic on a boom and a foot switch to transmit, your hands are free for logging or copying call signs, and the quicker response puts you first in a pile up. Based on appearance and sheet metal construction I would give it 3-4 stars but at the price and how well it actually works it is worthy of 5 stars.

Very simple but didn't work well as delivered.
This switch is plenty durable for something that you operate with your foot. However, it is cheaply made and needed to be disassembled and reworked a bit to make it useful. When I received it, it didn't work well and was intermittent. I dissembled the unit and found that the included microswitch was mounted lower than the side casing. In order to make it work, one had to apply enough force to warp the top of the peddle and it was intermittent. Easy fix if you can get it apart. It requires removing a circlip (Jesus clip and in "Jesus where did that go?"). To fix it, I used a rotary tool to cut down the side casing slightly allowing the microswitch to contact the peddle without warping things.

Works well to key my transmitter on my Icom 746 Pro

Need a flimsy intermittent switch that bounces and has a flaky plug? This is the one for you!
32 year licensed Extra and VE here. Foot pedal is made out of metal so thin it warps and doesn't close the contacts if your foot isn't perfectly centered. Even if you get it perfectly, there's contact bounce (a five cent 0.47 microfarad capacitor, value not critical, across the contacts solves this). Tolerances on the plug are sufficiently dodgy that I needed to wrap a rubber band around the sleeve to hold it a hair back from going in all the way for positive contact. Sure, I was expecting cheap and crummy minimum viable product at this price... but maybe not quite this cheap and crummy. Off to buy a $50 PTT pedal and sending these back.
