EDIT: After using these batteries since purchase, there has been a degrade in time between charges. I dont play videogames or watch tv constantly on my ps5. Sessions of tv or gameplay tend to be about 10 to 15 hours. I watch tv (youtube) more at this point as games have lost my interest over the last decade. I have one controller that is varying between 4 to 6 hours now on a single charge. I also realized during installation, I put the adhesive side on the wrong side. DO NOT put the adhesive side towards the backside of the controller, for the love of whatever is out there 🤣😅 For the cost at time of purchase, two to three years before a reduction in battery life isnt too bad. Still better than the initial longevity of the stock batteries. Sometime last year, after less than two years of owning my ps5 controllers, two out of four controllers had to have their batteries replaced, and one controller developed stick drift so bad I had my online friends trying to bump my character away from map edges while I was trying to guid my character away. It's debatable if the stick drift was purely the shoddy assembly work of the ps5 series or my husband's rather obtuse handling of his things. He switched to PC so I inherited his two controllers from the ps5 I bought him. Anyways, I bought these batteries sometime last year and they still last about 18 hours even while watching tv or playing my videogames. They don't take forever to charge either. No smells, warping, or leaking from the two controllers from what I have observed. I was concerned about it because I have dropped my controllers a few times and my two dogs were not helpful in that prevention. I'm pointing this out because the batteries are in a "pure" form. No plastic casing, just a "soft form" pack and then adhesive on the back that sticks to the plate when you pop it all back together. Soft packs tend to be more volatile, not always, so minor physical hiccups can disrupt the device and erupt it. You do not want any kind of battery acid or liquid from electronics on you, trust me. I was an inquisitive kid and surprised that I have made it to my current age. Anywho, they still function after a year of heavy use and minor abuse, which is more than what I can say for the stock parts. My ps4 and ps2 controllers from nearly a decade and two decades ago, are still going strong. Shame PS can't have the same quality in their modern products. That's the capitalist way I guess. Make a low grade thing and price it high so the consumer has to buy more. Thankfully, these batteries have lasted the year trial period I have for things. Here's to hoping they last another year, or at least five years. A good -physical- quality product will last at least five years with heavy use. I'm saying these batteries are awesome. Just frustrated with current, subpar standards of the overall industries.

It works! My controllers were from the initial production launch of the PS5, and have only been able to hold up to a 2 hour charge for the last couple years. Replaced them with these. They come included with a good screwdriver and prying tool, along with clear instructions with color photos. I was being extra cautious when I performed the replacement, but it still only less than 10 minutes from opening the box, reading the instructions and completing the job. It was a pretty simple task, but I would still be very slow and cautious when prying the clips, since I don't trust the integrity of the controller's plastic, and if a clip were to snap, I would hate having to use scotch tape to hold the controller together. The new battery has much more capacity that the original. I played Spider-Man 1 Remastered for about 7 hours before the battery went down from 3 bars to 2 bars on the screen, although Spider-Man doesn't use the colored lights on the controllers. It went down to 1 bar after over 12 hours. The haptic feedback and vibration all work as normal, and I play with them at the highest settings. NOTE: Not all games utilize the colored lights on the controller around the touchpad. I thought I broke something when I replaced my battery because the light wasn't staying on, but it turns out, the game I was playing doesn't those lights.
