Yuuki Menstrual Cup and Infuser Box Set - Small Classic

Sturdy cup, but not for those with sensitive bladders
This is the second menstrual cup purchase I have made. Both cups are pretty stiff, but still easy to fold and insert in my opinion. I am 22 and have never had children. I am, however, a heavy bleeder and usually have to use super plus tampons every thirty minutes to two hours on my heavy days. My first menstrual cup purchase was a flimsy soft cup that I had a lot of issues trying to get it to open after insertion. This cup has no issues with opening! Most of the time, the cup opened immediately after inserting with no coaxing. The few times it would not, a small twist on the bottom would pop it open. I will say, however, if you have a sensitive bladder this may not be the cup for you. When my cup popped open initially I would get a strong urge to urinate because of the cups stiffness. This feeling would go away after a minute or two, but initially was uncomfortable and annoying. While wearing the cup, I experienced no leaks, but I have only used it for one cycle. I have not tried the larger size because the smaller of the two worked so well for me.

Great cup. Hard as a rock.
The best thing about this cup is how easy it is to get it to pop open. It is extremely firm, quite possibly the firmest on the market. My only problem was that it was a little crampy for me after I got an iud. Before I got the iud, there were no problems, but I discovered after I got an iud, that some cups caused cramping. This one probably caused the worse out of all my cups. I would still recommend it though. If you do not have an iud or your iud does not cause you cramps, this could be great! The small size is about as large as a lunette cup, except it is more of a v shape whereas the lunette has more of a bell shape. The silicone is shiny, not matte. After a few uses it starts to get stained, but that is to be expected. The large size is HUGE. It can hold a whole bunch of fluid. It is the largest cup I have ever seen, which I don't personally need, but you may find this great if you have a heavy flow.

I will never go back to tampons
I have been using cups for a bought a year now and I will never go back to tampons. They have reduced my cramps and I love that despite the fact that I have a heavy period I can go hours with no worries or leaks. The yuuki cup has became my favorite after trying quite a few different types and brands. I now own three one large soft and a small and a large in the classic. I had to cut the stem short on them all but they have great grips at the bottom so they are easy to remove.

A great price for two cup sizes.
PROS:- The infuser is a very handy little item to have on hand. It makes sanitizing the cup a cinch. It has fill lines printed on the side of the cup to indicate where the water line should be based on the size of cup you're boiling. It also has the wattage and time printed on the cup, so you needn't worry that you'll forget how long to heat it for. Storing the cup in the infuser is also handy. (My other cups came with cotton storage bags and consequently always have lint on them.)- The cups are made of a firmer silicone and the lip of the cup is fairly thick and springs open readily. I can use any punch-down method to insert the cup and it pops open easily once in place. (Sometimes the "pop" is audible.) This might be a handy feature for beginners, as I've used more pliable cups before where this was not the case.- Getting both cups for this price was a great value and allowed me to try both and determine which was the better fit.CONS:- The stem on the cup was irritating and needed to be trimmed. (I strongly prefer stems like the one on my Sckoon.)- The four holes that exist on the lip of the cup were unevenly punched. One was so narrow that it could accumulate blood cells but could not be cleaned out without water and a needle. I had to enlarge it to ensure that I could clean the cup thoroughly. This was probably just a fluke and wasn't worth mailing the package back to Europe for an exchange.- Both cup sizes did not work for me (a risk I knowingly took). The large Yuuki cup is one of the largest on the market (while the small cup is almost identical to my other small cups). Although I am 38, I have not had children and found the large cup to be unusable. I tested it out during a shower and found insertion to be barely doable and removal to be extremely painful. This is a cup that is probably truly only appropriate for women who have given birth vaginally. That said, I was disappointed that it didn't work for me, as it has a great capacity and would probably rarely have to be emptied.- Although I haven't had the cups long enough for them to stain yet, I dislike transparent cups for that minor aesthetic reason.OVERALL:Yuuki makes a totally viable cup that is very similar (if not almost identical) to many other cups on the market. The cup is a fabulous alternative to tampons and I wouldn't dream of going back. It's a great deal for the price and the infuser is an added "plus" that you won't find with other companies. I would confidently recommend this cup to any of my friends.

Great Product
So far this cup has been great. I will add for those who have used a Lunnete cup before this is definitely more firm. I personally like that there are measuring lines and the large cup holds a high capacity. Today was the first day I used the large Yuuki and I honestly could have not emptied it during work (I did as I wanted to be on the safe side). A pro for all menstrual cups is you can wear them before your period starts without discomfort. Please note this is all in my experience and you need to do what your comfortable with.

The classic is quite rigid, not as small as I expected
Fast delivery, thanks! This is a bigger cup and more rigid than I was expecting (I got a Small Classic). A little harder to insert. So it is slightly feeling pinching, though not too uncomfortable. I'm hoping it will soften over time. The other cup that I've been using is smaller and much softer, and I thought it was a Lunette but could be wrong, since I'd read they were similarly sized. I've used mostly cups for 10 years and highly recommend it if you're debating. The plastic container is apparently for sanitizing, put the cup and fill with water and you can microwave it to sanitize. The box does have holes in the top so you wouldn't want to use it for transporting uncleaned.
