DELICIOUS
This tastes JUST like the DQ cherry dipped cone. I don't have to go there for an overpriced cone and of course food because Im hungry.I received the birthday cake dip. The disappointment! The box was mostly open and barely held on by tape. This item has a no returns policy, but amazon sent a replacement because the order was wrong. So great job, Amazon! Yes, all the cans were dented.I followed another reviewers plan of opening one can, melting it on the stovetop, and pouring it in mason jars. Im on mason jar number 3.The cherry dip was more of a headache to get out of the can than the birthday cake. The dip was separated, so pulling out the oil part was easy, but the other part was much harder and difficult to get out. Not too bad though. Melting it in mason jars results in a dip that is combined just fine, a very small layer of the oil on top. The birthday cake dip was mixed fine in the can, just needed to melt it so it is evenly poured in each mason jar.

Each of 3 #10 Industrial sized cans of Dilly Bar Cherry Shell included is 6 pounds and 12 ounces!
Each of 3 #10 Industrial sized cans of Dilly Bar Cherry Shell included is 6 pounds and 12 ounces! I kept thinking they would be small and overpriced, but this is an excellent value, and is really meant for an ice cream shop that is going through the shell coating quickly each day. For one person, this could take years to eat. At the under $40 price I paid, That's like $12 or so per giant can. Great deal I got.As far as the quality, this is Conagra Brand, the makers of top brands for the food industry who handles the Hungerford Smith brand. Just visit the Conagra Brand website, and you'll see all the famous products they make in addition to this brand. So the quality is there. The product arrived in a giant, long box. It's 18+ pounds in weight to give you an idea. The cans are giant. at 6+ pounds each. You could fit a gallon of water into them probably, though I haven't tried yet. The cans had some dents on top, so I washed the bottom and opened them from the bottom, for 1 can. The other 2 I'll keep in storage till ready for use in a year or two. Inside, there was a white layer of coconut oil solid, which I believe this is mostly made of, resulting in high fat content of saturated fat, so use sparingly.Under the quarter inch layer of white solid oil, is the bright red cherry product in solid form. I used a butter knife (not sharp) to break it up into chunks and drop it into my large crockpot set on very low heat, the "keep warm" temperature. Over an hour or two, it finally melted after mixing the chunks further down into the crockpot. Now it's all liquid and ready to have ice cream dipped into it or poured onto ice cream. It then freezes back to a solid in a few seconds, and you have a Dilly Bar Cherry shell! 95˚ Fahrenheit is the required temperature. Too hot and it would be like water and drip off and probably melt the ice cream too fast.I scooped a bunch of separate scoops of 1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream in a round shape and put wooden flat sticks (rounded edges) into each one, put on a tray with parchment paper, and then took each one and dipped it into the lightly heated crockpot of Cherry Shell liquid. If it's too hot, it'll only have a very thin coat. Let it cool down more and it'll be a thick coat of Cherry shell to crunch through. After finishing, I put them back in the freezer and will wrap each one individually so they can last for a month or two in the freezer to enjoy along the way. I still have 75% of product left from one can, never mind the other two cans to open, so there is a ton of product for the 3 can pack.Accuracy to the DQ Dilly Bar flavor? 100%. This is absolutely the same flavor, taste and texture that I loved all those years I'd buy DQ Cherry Dilly Bars from my local DQ until they started only getting chocolate flavor which I can find anywhere really at the grocery store. So this is a great product and I'm thrilled to finally relive some ice cream enjoyment with the cherry shell that is extremely rare for me to find these days. I wish stores offered a cherry shell ice cream like this packaged, but it's always chocolate shells every time I go.Highly recommended for fans of DQ's Cherry classic Dilly Bars. If you remember the flavor, this is the stuff! 10/10

Simple and Delicious
You get three large cans (the size of gallon paint cans). The product inside had the consistency of stiff frosting. It is a vibrant red color and smells strongly of cherry. I melted the product in the microwave for 30 seconds and poured it over my vanilla ice cream. It was delicious. It didn't task waxy or off and it harden up with seconds. It was the perfect treat and is better than DG in my opinion. Its a great quality and quantity product for the price.

Can lid was dented (Catestrophic Result)
First of all, with cherry hard-shell disappearing from everywhere, I really wish that J Hungerford Smith would make this available in SMALL cans!!!But the real issue for me was that 1/4 of the can lid (all 3 cans) was damaged during shipping. The can opener wouldn't work properly leaving about 1/4 of the lid still attached. This ultimately resulted in a severed extensor tendon in my right hand middle finger. 6 weeks (and surgery) later, I finally got around to trying this stuff out.Flavor is excellent! Very close to Dairy Queen! Again, please just make this available in smaller packaging! You will sell a lot more product!

Just like Dairy Queen cherry dip!
I have been looking for a close second to Dairy Queen cherry dip and finally found it here! And so much! It’s a #10 can and you get 3 of them. I bought mason jars and separated them into smaller more manageable (home use) jars. And I got 6 mason jars filled and one I put a pout spout on and when I want to use it, a quick 30 seconds in the microwave and it’s liquid and ready to pour on the ice cream or you can warm it and dip the cones in! The stuff is in a more solid sate at room temp. Hope this helps. I love this stuff!

Just like DQ cherry dip
We ordered 4 not reading the description entirely lol didn’t realize it was a case of 3. So needless to say we’re stocked for life on cherry dip. We’ve opened one can so far and melted it down and put them in canning jars for easier use. It taste just like Dairy Queen as many people have said as well.
