Had always seen these in stores and decided to grab one. It’s surprisingly well made and is fun to watch. The color is reminiscent of desert sands and reminds me of home. It’s small enough to fit as a desk ornament but large enough to be eye catching.

I'm enjoying this even more than I expected, to be honest. Simple concept, sure. There's variously colored sand, liquid, and air in the circle, and you flip it over to create new landscape designs. But the way it works is just mesmerizing. I kind of expected the differently colored elements to just sort of blend together into a mush, much the same way those sand-art bottles do once they've been shaken around too much. But I guess each different color of sand must also be a slightly different density or something, because they have a tendency to fall together into clear striations, even if you intentionally shake it all up. It's fun to watch how the sand settles, and then it makes a unique piece of art that sits there until you're ready to change it up again.
