The Day The Crayons Came Home

My grandnephew us delighted with the book.

My 6 year old son's favourite book is 'The Day The Crayon's Quit' - well it was! Tonight we surprised him with the sequel (I pre-ordered this months ago and it's been really hard not to tell him, as it's something he'd been wishing for since the first book) the look on his face was priceless! Every page made us laugh out loud. Well worth the wait! If you're new to Oliver Jeffers or not, this book comes highly recommended, but buy the prequel too. From 'Lost and Found', 'Up and Down', 'The Way Back Home', 'How To Catch A Star', 'The Incredible Book Eating Boy', 'Stuck' and 'The Heart In A Bottle' to name but a few, 'The Day The Crayon's Came Home' is another children's classic that is an absolute joy to read to your child. Oliver Jeffers is pure genius!

Bought this as the follow up to 'The Day The Crayons Quit' which my class loved! I also loved the learning opportunities - especially surrounding emotions and letter writing! This story didn't disappoint, so much discussion about journeys, things we know we left behind or lost over the years! It also lead to an technology lesson (off the cuff) where the children designed their own house for all of the crayons to live and be happy (seen as they find their way home again!). It was fab! I will definitely be using this again in the future for teaching!

Another great book following on from the first one. The crayons have lots of new adventures and scrapes that they get into. Highly enjoyed reading it and have read it several times. Probably not as good as the first book ut still a highly entertaining read in its own right.

I love this book just as much as my daughter

My 6 year old grandsons favourite book.he's read it to me a couple of times already.very interesting and well written and illustrated.

We absolutely loved this book. It's a follow on from 'The day the crayons quit'. Not necessary to read first but a delightful starting point. I particularly like pea green who renamed himself Escaban. The world travels of Neon Red provided a marvellous educational opportunity too. My child is five. I think it's fair to say these books could span a lot of ages. I laughed while reading this. The neon crayon writes in neon too which is a lovely touch.

A very good sequel to the first book

Love it but there are some page hard to read because of the color

Mio figlio di 5 anni e mezzo adora questo libro. Lo leggo e lo rileggo tutte le sere. Ha anche preso ispirazione per disegnere quando abbiamo acquistato il primo libro. Lo consiglio. La storia e belissima i bambini piccoli imparano i colori mentre quelli piu grandicelli possono usare il libro per imparare a disegnare oltre che asoltare simpatiche storie di come sono stati trattati i colori..
