Arch Support Brace

I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He recently received a boot from his podiatrist to wear at night and hated it. He only used it a few times and would always pull it off in the middle of the night. I bought this one hoping that it would be much more comfortable and it definitely is. It's not as intrusive and much lighter weight and he has no problem wearing it all night. His foot feels much better in the mornings.

I have a love/hate relationship with this splint and I'm sorry to say that I have more complaints than good things to say.THE GOOD: It does lessen the pain I have taking my first steps out of bed in the morning although it has not helped improve the inflammation of my PF as I'd hoped. I still have to wear my shoe inserts and still have a great deal of pain by the end of the day. Another good point is that you CAN walk with it on. I can go up and down stairs with it if I have to let the dog out in the night.THE BAD: First, it doesn't stay in place. I use the additional strap but it still tends to rotate to the side of my leg putting the bend of my ankle at a very weird angle. If I make it tight enough not to rotate I can't wear it. I have wondered if it's too big for me. (I'm 5' 2" tall.) Also, it is really difficult to tighten on your left foot because of the direction it wraps. Lastly, the whole thing is made of Velcro – the soft side of Velcro and as a result, it picks up EVERYTHING when you walk – like any crumb or pet hair – and I hate the idea of dragging that into my bed. A huge cotton sock to cover it might work, but then it might be too hot to wear. I suggest that people look closely before buying.

I ordered this night splint because I have a bad case of plantar fasciitis. I have used the splint and am noticing my mornings are much better when I start to put weight on it. In the kit is a massage ball that I also use a few times a day. I am very pleased with the quality of this splint and would highly recommend it to those who suffer from plantar fasciitis.

This arrives flat, and you need to bend it to the appropriate angle yourself. The problem is, if your hands can easily bend the metal, so can your feet. I've woken up each morning with the brace bent to a more comfortable, less therapeutic angle. The booklet is unimpressive. But the ball is just the right size and density.

I feel the product really helps ease daytime pain of Planter Fasciitis. The straps can be a nuisance getting them on tight as they adhere to the brace very easily (which probably is good) and even harder to remove in the morning.

This does work. Do not worry if you you wake up in middle of night with foot cramps and crying. Hang in there it does work. Stretching does help and just keep wearing it nightly.

Unfortunately, this device did not support my plantar fasciitis. Unless, I modified it to where it was uncomfortable to wear, it did not hold my foot in place. The ball that was sent with it worked better than the actual product. 😞
