Good, dependable and cheap film-style screen protector.
What can I say, this is just a nice screen protector. For about $8 you get two of them, so in case you mess one up during install, or need to refresh an old worn out one (assuming it gets worn out somehow), then you have an extra right in the box, which is great. I am not particularly great at installing these, but this one was simple enough. Clean your screen thoroughly, spray your fingertips with the solution, peel the screen protector and spray the back of it with the solution, then place it on the screen and readjust and push out air bubbles as needed. Super simple. Readjusting is thankfully simple too - since this is for a screen that has curved edges, it's important that this process is doable and easy, so that's a huge plus here. For example, when I got mine placed down, I noticed that I hadn't gotten it quite lined up on the right side - since this is flexible, though, I was able to gently pull and stretch the protector over to the right so that it was lined up, without any hassle. I myself like to put tempered glass on my screens in most situations...but with curved screens I have learned that is a NIGHTMARE unless you are trying very hard to get it right, and even then you can fail and be out of money. So, although I wish this was tempered glass for my preferences, I would say that the ease of install is a fair tradeoff. As for how it functions...I'm usually pretty careful with my phone, but the protector has worked great so far. No damage to my screen, and no scratches on the protector - in fact, I accidentally scratched the protector once, but within minutes it was back to smooth - so the self-healing element of this is legitimate for lighter scratches and scuffs. As for feel...you'll definitely notice that it's on. It doesn't feel like the glass screen. I would even say that it doesn't feel as good as the bare screen itself, but it's not bad at all - just a little plasticky. Most importantly though, it hasn't impaired my ability to use the phone at all - it's not sticky or coarse or anything like that. It's pretty much smooth and performs smoothly as well, it just isn't as perfect as the pure glass underneath. But with a phone like this, that's a fair tradeoff for some extra protection in the long run. For look - I don't notice it when using the phone, unless I slow down and look really close at it. I don't think that it impairs the look of the screen at all personally. My friends noticed that my screen looked a little shinier than usual when I pulled my phone out for the first time with it on, but I haven't noticed any extra glare while using the phone out in bright sunlight myself (and I am in bright sunlight a lot, since I play Pokemon Go a fair bit). Finally...I have a case on this phone, one with a cover for the screen, and all of it works together seamlessly. So no worries on that front either. For as cheap as this thing is, as simple as it is and for as good as it is, I would say don't even think about it, just go for it. This is more than likely the right solution for you.

10 times better than the sticky kind and the unattached kind
Update: i left this review in April 2018. I just (dec 2020) replaced the screen protector again because I dropped the phone hard on gravel last year, and the resulting scratch/gouge was too hard to see the keyboard shift key through for my elderly dad (who was getting my hand-me-down). Just as easy as before. The screen was in perfect condition. ... This is a paid full price, found all on my own, NOT fake review. I use my phone 12-14hrs a day, and the only scratches were from some serious drops. Of which there were many. This held up great. I've used it on 3 of our family phones with great success. This is not the screen protector I wanted. I wanted the one step sticky kind that I know is impossible to get all the bubbles and dust out, but good enough for me. I couldn't find that. And I know I'll never be able to use a tempered glass one anymore because of curved screens on new devices( who thought that was a good idea???). So I gave this one a try. I was really nervous because this one sounded like a pita to apply using "the wet" method. But OMG it was way easier than those sticky ones ( where you had to waste one or two before you even got one good enough to work). Just spritz, apply, and smooth. In a house with six pets I was able to get the screensaver on with only one tiny speck of dust. And after leaving the phone sit for the required amount of time, that speck is practically invisible - no annoying bubble like you get with the sticky kind of screen protector! And if it's not perfectly in place, you can easily slide it around a bit before it dries. I will never go back! I accidentally set the Dremel tool down today before it stopped spinning and it spun onto the top of my new phone 😯. I almost had a heart attack. The protector has gouges all the way up the side. Pealed up the edge with drywall dusty fingers, and not a single scratch on the screen itself!!! Better yet, I took the spritz bottle out and spritzed the dusty underside that I had peeled up, wiped it with a lens cleaning cloth, and pressed it back down. Other than the Dremel tool scratches, you can't tell it's been futzed with at all. If you peel the sticky kind up even once, you're out of luck - you have to start over with a new one. Appearance-wise it looks like I don't even have a screensaver on my phone. Texture wise it's the perfect combination of not too slippery and not too sticky. If you're looking for slick as glass or ice, I would say this is slightly more tacky feeling than that. The downside is you have to let it sit undisturbed for 12 hours after applying. We'll, yer SUPPOSED to anyways. I make it about 15 minutes before I'm like "ehh - it's good". I have no patience, so fortunately it's very forgiving My husband has a screen protector that came with this case, and just hovers above the screen. We both hate it so I just bought him one of these. I can't talk about the longevity because I've only had mine for a few weeks or a month now, but so far totally worth it! That's saying a lot given I'm REALLY picky.

Good against scratches; falls short in feel and attraction to fingerprints
I have used other plastic screen protectors and I would go as far to argue that the screen protector pre installed on OnePlus phones is of a better quality than this armor suit. Although they don't tout self heals, they are durable and feel like glass when they are indeed plastic. With Armor suit, you don't get that same feel. It isn't terrible and I have tried worse with another brand that I don't think exist anymore. The screen is responsive and the feel is smooth but... it feels unusual which is the best way to describe it. Using the stylus also feels weird but over time you get used to it. Sometimes it feels like writing on paper but not quite. But it definitely does not beat matte of writing on the glass itself. The screen protector also loves fingerprints. You can easily wipe it off but it is soemthing you would do more frequently especially if your fingers are oily. It isn't terrible but something to consider. Application was painless. And using my Ringke Onyx case it fits well. Overall, it is a solid screen protector with a history of reliability for what it is. I wish they would further innovate on the feel of the screen as well as fingerprint resistance. If you're looking for real basic screen protection, you really can't go wrong with this. However, don't expect this protector to save from impacts if you're clumsy or prone to dropping your phone a lot.
