Will this come in a lego packaging? my son loves to save the boxes.

It definitely should! Mine always have been packaged in the LEGO boxes when ordering through Amazon. It might be different if you are purchasing through a private seller.

Will this be less disappointing than star wars: the last jedi?

Is this a serious question? If you were a real Star Wars fan you would be thankful for the expanding story that you get enjoy.

Since this is an exclusive set, is there a set number of this product? Also, how long will this set be on Amazon before expiring it?

The set number is 75251, but I don't think Amazon has any role in expiring it. It seems that the "exclusive" feature is that it was available through Amazon before it was available at Lego's online store or retail stores. This will be available via Lego's own site as of December 1, 2018. All specs indicate that it is the exact same set, so the only difference appears to be the early sale/delivery date.
