The 13.5 oz mug is bigger than the 14 oz cup
I am always on the lookout for a better coffee mug. I must reheat my coffee 8 times before I finish a cup. I saw these (under numerous brands), and decided to try both types. I liked the fact that these didn't have any ugly logos on them. Thanks! My only real peeve, is the misleading description of the cup and mug. The '14 oz' is the size of a standard 12 oz coffee cup. The pictures I posted are the two mugs with 10 oz of water in them. With the'14 oz' cup, 10 oz of water is within .5" of the rim, on the 13.5 oz mug, it is about .75" away. You can get 12 oz into the 13.5 and put the lid on without anything squirting out. Not so with the 14 oz cup.The walls on the 14 oz cup is considerable thinner than the 13.5 oz mug. As a result, it cools faster. The 14 oz cup will keep the contents hot for about 15-20 minutes and warm enough for maybe one hour. The mug on the other hand will keep the contents hot for almost an hour, and warm for more than three hours. I brewed a K-cup using the mug, put the lid on it, and forgot about it. I went and ran errands and came back hours later. Low and behold it was still moderately hot enough to drink without reheating. You can feel the heat radiating out of the cup, but the mug doesn't get nearly as warm. The 14 oz coffee cup uses a tab opening that slides about .25" to expose the opening. That works well enough, and it won't spill by bouncing around, but it will leak if tilted to the opening side for more than a few moments. The 13.5 oz mug uses a twist lid, which works about the same. The rim is a little thick and low, so its easy to burn ones lips while taking the first sips. This will also invariably result in an edge drip, leaving a coffee spot on your clothes or desk. Personally, I prefer a taller and thinner 'lip area'. That said, it's not really that much of a problem once you get used to it.I (obviously) bought both to test them out. The 13.5 oz mugs feel better and more solid, while not really weighing enough to make a noticeable difference. If you want coffee cups that hold the temp marginally better than a cafe cup, the 12 oz, I mean "14 oz", cup will do the job. Otherwise I'd recommend the smaller, err, larger 13.5 oz mug.5 stars for the mug3 stars for the cup

Well-produced and portable, though not anything special for home use
These are a decent set of mugs. I wouldn't say they're anything spectacular, but they do offer some benefits that you might find appealing given your use case. As mentioned by the seller in the comments, outdoor use seems to be where these shine the most. They're incredibly light, which may or may not be a pro for you. Older individuals will benefit from this, but if you're like me and prefer a more weightier vessel, then you wont be too impressed. Given that they were metallic, I thought they'd weigh more than ceramic, but that's far from the case. The heat insulation is fairly standard. Again, given that they were metal and doubly insulated, I would have experienced greater performance than any of my traditional ceramic mugs. I haven't really noticed much of an improvement. They certainly aren't any worse, but they are not a massive improvement over what you're used to normally. With all that being said, they're very nice looking and easy to pick up and use for a drink, hot or cold. The construction quality is the greatest positive here as they are certainly sturdy and resistant to dings and other sources of damage. If the material is as safe for the body as advertised, this is also something to appreciate. It's not a bad set of mugs at all. I still use them from time to time, though they aren't the major improvement over traditional mugs I had hoped they'd be. Keep this in mind.

I bought 2 of them 4 years ago.
4 years ago I purchased 2 of these mugs because I was going to be living in my van for a year. Today these are still the best mugs I have. Do yourself a favor and just buy these. You will not be disappointed.

Nice mugs but couple of problems
Mugs are NOT 14 oz, closer to 10 oz i.e meant toHold 8 oz cup of coffee. Constitutes FALSE ADVERTISING. Covers are convenient, however ants managed to crawl inside even when completely closed. Otherwise, attractive cups. Nearly unbreakable. Attractive modern look, comfortable handles, easy to wash. Suitable for indoors or patio use.
