This cable is not keyed to prevent it from being installed backwards. If you connect it wrong, you run the risk of killing your board. And because the connections are all in Chinese, you’ll have to google how to hook the thing up. Spend a few dollars more and buy a keyed and labeled harness.

This was ordered as a replacement for a harness that did not have adequate pins for the new board I installed. For the price, the connector is decent. HOWEVER:The quick connectors for the buttons are cheap. CHEAP. I had several snap when I installed them on the buttons. Have a wire stripper and some compression connectors or a soldering iron handy-- you WILL need one or the other!As a few other reviews mentioned, the JAMMA connector isn't keyed. I pulled the key out of the old harness and used that. However, if you don't have a key, it's possible to install the JAMMA connector incorrectly. This will send 12v and 5v to places that are likely to fry your board. This would be an expensive lesson!But the most FRUSTRATING part of this harness is this: the player one controller wire colors and the player two wire colors are the SAME COLOR. Most JAMMA harnesses have a SOLID color (player one) and a STRIPED color (player two). NOT this one! No, I had to use a multimeter to make sure the wires were on the correct switch posts and I didn't turn the interior of my control panel into a jumble of wires going every which way if I went the "trial and error" route.If you know what you are doing and want to go the cheap route, this harness will do, but expect to put in a little extra work due to the manufacturer's design decisions and corner cutting. If you want something that will be plug 'n play, keep shopping.
