A hit!
This was the perfect gift for my third grade,9 year old. Really cool magnetic “floating” in mid air. Also really great lighting affects. It’s the earth so a great science/physics/geography model. She gets it out every night and uses it for a night-light in her room. Well worth the money spent.

Cute for kids room, teachers desk, or classroom.
Not very difficult to set up, it just takes patience. Mine did NOT come with the Styrofoam wedge they refer to. It's fascinating but the novelty wears off. I think it would be better for a kids room, teachers desk, or classroom. It gives off a magnetic field, so be certain to keep electronics, CD's, and such away from it.

Social studies or science, the kids love it
I actually bought this for a friend but decided to keep it (shh, don't tell her haha). I am a teacher and my students love it! It's such a great way to start a conversation about geography!!!

Really Cool!
This is one really cool globe. My son begged me to let him keep it instead of giving it for a present. Social study teachers this would be a neat globe to put on your desk.

Item did not work, would not turn on. Part that plugs into wall outlet rattled. returned.
