Healthwise Zero Net Carb Low Carb Bread Plain

I saw all the negative reviews but decided to try this bread anyway. When you first get it, it looks great. It's soft and smells good. It behaves as slightly thicker white bread. However, once you go to eat it, the problems begin. It absorbs all moisture in your mouth and is so tough that it's like eating meat. You can hardly tear the crust with your teeth, and then you end up with what feels like a sponge in your mouth. It takes forever to chew it, the whole time it's tasting worse and worse. When you finally swallow it, it's like you ate a cue ball. I had to drink water while chewing multiple times just to keep from choking.I would definitely not recommend this bread, and instead would recommend one of the Health Express breads. I got both on the same shipment and it was definitely the winner compared to this bread.

I agree with most of the others who gave this product a low rating. Too expensive, crust is overbaked and tastes like cardboard. Toasted even the bread tastes like cardboard. I'm using it up by cutting off the crust and topping it heavily with tasty low carb spreads like peanut butter or flavored cream cheeses. For a sandwich, untoasted, with the crust removed and tasty fillings it's tolerable only because I don't believe in waste, but I was tempted to throw it out. Also the shape of the loaf is so uneven I find it unappetizing. It might not be baked in pans to give it a homemade look, but didn't tempt me. I would never buy this again. Their bagels are maybe an iota better - I'll also submit a review for them. I'll try some of the other brands suggested in the reviews next.

This is good if you toast it and slather w butter as for Atkins dietOtherwise yuck. It doesn't last very long no preservatives

I tried it and it was not that bad. I mean for no carbs it was good. It was nice to make toast and a sandwich.I put peanut butter on it and it tasted good. I had no problem with it.

Who knew the texture in bread came from the carbs? This one tastes OK but the texture is more like angel food bread. It makes decent toast, so I would get it again to keep in the freezer and use for toast.

For anyone looking for truly low carb bread, this is for you. Other people complained about the texture but for me it was beyond my expectations given what a no no bread is to low carb diets.

I have been on low carb diet for years, and i have had a lot of bread this is the worst bread i have ever had. I threw it out not worth even ordering don,t waste your money!

I think the bread is pretty considering it's zero carb. It's better than eating a snowball
