really great bag great size only thing i would do is add more tie down loops so you can strap a sweater or other light gear to the outside of it but really i am an over packer. i stuff a 5x7 ground tarp in the bottom then my Large tyvek rain pants fallowed buy my 4 season tarp then my hammock with straps and tie outs finnished up with an inflatable sit pad toilet kit (20 bio whipes, 16 bio gloves, 400 ft of TP) and a XL marmot precip. there is a little more space that i could use next to the sit pad in back of the toilet kit. maybe about two decks of cards. i use the top bungee to hold my stakes and cathole trowel since they are pointy and dirty usually. its vary stable even fully loaded i dont load with wight in mind i just load in order i want to pull things out. i could see benefit adding or using another compression strap pulling the mass up into the seat but i have not found a need to do so yet

Perfect for weekend getaways on Carbon Fiber Road Bikes
My wife and I were looking for a bag that could work for weekend getaways on our carbon fiber road bikes. This product looked great so we ordered it...and it is very impressive. For fun I filled it with a pair of shoes, 3 pairs of cargo shorts, 2 t-shirts, plus my tool seat bag...and I could still fit in my toothbrush etc. While riding, I can't notice it hanging off my seat. My wife mentioned that it does sway a bit but I sure love not having to carry a backpack. I loved this so much we just ordered her the Pika for her bike. (IT is a tad smaller between the seat and the rear tire) We are now set for our trip through the San Juan Islands in a couple weeks. The bags are built very well....and look like they will last for years and years of adventures.

An excellent bag for any bike tourer who wants to travel lightly.
An excellent large seat bag for anyone seeking a compressible, water resistant travel bag that doesn't require any special hardware or racks. Used it to ride from Portland, Or., to Santa Monica, Ca., It was a credit card trip, so I didn't need to carry a sleeping bag, tent or sleeping mat. Combined with a hydration pack, it was large enough to carry everything I required with room to spare. Granted, I traveled very lightly. However, traveling lightly allowed me to cover distance much faster, and every time I saw a camping bike tourer with loaded panniers on the road I was grateful for my decision to travel so lightly. I highly recommend the Viscacha. It seems very durable. And you'll be aware of it due to the added weight under your seat, but you'll quickly get used to it and nearly forget about it.

Great Product
Build quality of Revelate stuff is amazing. This model has a very large volume, so beware, but you can roll it up to accomodate smaller volumes as well. So why go with the smaller Pika when you can have the Viscasha which is larger and has a better name??? Doubles as a rear fender to catch mud and water.I think this Viscacha is a better option than the Tangle (because it holds a lot more) or the full triangle frame bag (because it allows you to use your water cages). For me the best solution is the combination of the Viscacha and the Gas Tank.

Nice product!
This is something really very well thought. You will be surprised by the quality and the way it fits on the bike. It's not for carring weight things... but bulky things...Just one details: if you go on single tracks, pay attention on the way you tie the straps, because the bag may touch the tire.Nice product!

Light weight and lots of space
I used to have an aluminum rack that attaches to the seatpost with a clamp, and then a trunk attached to the rack. This seat bag is much lighter but has more space. It's easy to attach and remove, and it's easy to open and close. The only drawback is that whatever item you put in first can only be accessed by removing everything else.

Great seat bag!
Amazing bag. Holds a lot more than you think it can. Have used it on a fat bike in snow and rain and contents are always dry. Looks great on the bike as well.

Very good, but...
Not entirely rainproof, even with the roll closure tight, and there's no simple way to attach a taillight. Otherwise, this bag is excellent.
