Tasty smooth mint
I only drink herbal teas, and 90% of them are herbs that my family and I gather ourselves. Peppermint is one of the few exceptions. This is a very nice peppermint, strongly flavored but still smooth, not a biting peppermint flavor.I store my teas in labeled and dated glass jars. This amount fits nicely in 2 12 oz jars.

It’s exactly what it is.
This is excellent peppermint tea. Good size leaf pieces. Tastes like peppermint should. No complaints, this is what you want if you want loose leaf peppermint tea.

An "Okay" tea
I give this tea three stars, my husband gives it five, so hence the four-star rating.About 20 years ago I dated a professional tea-taster from India who took me away from Celestial Seasons and into whole-leaf loose tea. My tea-drinking life went from the occasional to the ritual. I really love the whole leaf teas by Adagio, Tiesta and August. Even Teavana makes a Citrus Peppermint tea that is really good, even though it comes in a tea bag. What annoyed me about this tea is that it (1) came in a plastic bag within a small cardboard box. I totally respect wanting to keep costs down (no fancy tin or canister) but once you've torn open the plastic bag, how do you seal it again to keep it fresh? You can't. (2) I wasn't a fan of the smell. The smell was SO minty that it felt like mint oil might have been infused with dull green tea leaves. (3) The leaves themselves were so tiny that I wondered if they might be fannings. ("Fannings are small pieces of tea that are left over after higher grades of teas are gathered to be sold. ") I've taken a picture of the tea after it has brewed for 7 minutes in my Teami containers. With my other loose teas, the leaves unfurl and grow until they take up half the cup. It's beautiful and delicious. Not so with this tea. The tiny shavings of tea stayed at the bottom of the cup.My husband loved this peppermint tea even more than the fancy Teavana, so he gave it a five star rating. With my three stars, I've given this an average of four.

A+ for taste, D- for packaging.
This tea tastes great, minty, fresh & sweet (even without any sweetener.). But the packaging is just plain stupid. It comes in a cardboard box, with a non-reclosable bag inside it. Once opened, now what? I had to search my cabinets for a container that was the right size to keep it from A)getting stale and B)spilling all over the place. All it needed was a zip-lock style bag and I would have no storage problem.

Flavorful tea, terrible package
I'm usually a Teavana, Harney & Sons, or Stash tea drinker, so this was my first experience with T2's line of teas. Have to say I am pretty impressed. The flavor is wonderful with zero hints of any added artificial flavoring. Some brands I've tried in the past tasted more like old, expired artificial peppermint extract than actual leaves from the plant. If you can't get a tea as basic as peppermint right, that doesn't really encourage me to try any other flavors from a particular brand. Many of the peppermint teas I have tried over the years ended up being used as critter deterrent (mice, chipmunks, and other small animals don't like the smell of peppermint) in the garden. T2 tea tastes as good as if I'd dried the peppermint leaves myself. I've gone on to try other teas from this brand, and they have all been as good. The only problem is the packaging. Once you open the cellophane bag, you don't have a way to keep it securely closed and the tea inside fresh. While I prefer loose tea to pre-bagged, I appreciate how the pre-bagged teas usually come in a protective wrapper that has an inside coating to keep the tea from becoming stale. On their website, T2 offers larger sizes that do come in resealable protective bags, but if you do order their cubes you will need to have another airtight container to store your tea in.

Not bad
Seems like a good quality tea. I’m just not a big fan of peppermint. It wasn’t bad just not my favorite.

[peppermint herbal tea] nice mild mint flavor, awful packaging
I like a cup of herbal tea in the evening. This tea has a nice mild mint flavor and no caffeine to keep me up at night. No aftertaste like some decaffeinated teas have. They recommend one teaspoon of tea leaves for each cup of tea, steep 3 minutes in boiling water, and that works well. Loose leaf teas taste so much better than bagged teas and easy to brew if you have any kind of teapot. My only complaint is the packaging. This tea comes in a thin cellophane bag inside a thin cardboard box. Both were squashed in shipping. Cellophane is not especially air or humidity tight, so the tea starts degrading before you even receive it. Many other teas come in heavy resealable mylar bags and possibly metal cans as well so the tea stays fresh longer. We poured to the tea into a old tea can; hopefully the tea wasn't sitting in that plastic bag for too long before we got it.

Refreshing peppermint tea, good addition to other flavors
I enjoy peppermint tea and this batch from T2 tastes very fresh. I prefer loose tea so that I can steep it by itself or add a pinch to other teas that may be lacking in flavor. I don't care for chilled peppermint tea, but it's tasty combined with lemonade. I wish the bag were resealable, but it was easy enough to pour into a jar and put in my cabinet for safe storage.
