Invalueble
Simply put, this book is brilliant. The book provides the reader with a healthy historical overview and then moves right into some warm ups, then movements for the roda. If you are an absolute beginner you might find it hard to keep up with all the names for these movements, but the illustrations are simple enough to follow. I love how each section concludes with some sequences and creative ways to apply the movement you have just leant. I know I will read this book a hundred times and a hundred times again.

I have only finished the first couple of chapters. But I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt this book is indeed a keeper ! This layout is simply excellent. I only wish I had of bought it a couple of years ago. I am beginner, I am finding this material terribly interesting. Job well done.

Most complete, best visual instruction book for Capoeira I've Found
I have collected several (dozens?) of Capoeira instructional books and videos over the past several years. This is far and away the best I've found for self-instruction, although Gerald Taylor's Capoeira 100 and Capoeira Conditioning are also recommended.
