I really liked this pen the moment I took it out of the box. It jus feels real nice in the hands. I find myself jus holding onto it when I go out, it's always at the ready.. earned a spot in my EDC pouch.

This is a quality made defensive pen, so good I promptly ordered another after my first one was confiscated by the TSA. Solid with a hefty feel and very covert when clipped inside your pocket. I would recommend that anyone carrying one for defensive purposes take a Kubotan or Yawara class. I owned my first one for several years and had no problems with traveling on airliners with it until one day an agent asked to see it and seized it. Please note that to replace the ink cartridge the pen top unscrews opposite of normal, not the usual righty tighty, lefty loosey direction. Space pen refills fit perfectly. There are no instructions provided. Very happy with all Boker products, typical German made quality, but I was surprised to see this was made in the PRC. As is may custom I deducted one star for any product made in Red China.

BOKER PLUS MPP Multi Purpose Pen, Silver - Lightweight aluminum grip body, with a glass breaker tip and screwed on cap. It can be used as a kubotan for self defense. It will work as a stylus, but I would very careful with that due to metal to glass could cause scratches. The ink cartridge is a "Parker style" and easy to find. I believe it should be able to use Space pen ink cartridge considering that I use them in my Parker Pen. It writes well, feels good in the hand and has tactical uses. A very good pen in my opinion. I would recommend to friends.

This is flat out the best writing pen I have ever used. It is smooth and comfortable to hold in your hand. It has lived up to most of my expectations and i would defiantly recomend it to a friend. The only negative issue that i have come across so far is that for me the screw cap seems to take a couple more turns to take off than I fell it should. That being said this is a quality product that i carry daily both at my security job and in my free time and it works great.

OK product, but after 1 year of use, lots of little stuff that shouldn't have happened for the price paid. 1) The cap needs to be screwed back on, but when screwing it off, it's too easy to take the entire cartridge assembly off. 2) Screw the cartridge assembly into the body of the pen too tightly and it becomes difficult to take off. 3) The finish on the pin is easily scratched and after 1 year of use, the wear really shows. 4) Glass breaker on the cap screws in, but after a couple of weeks began working its way out. I had to put a drop of superglue on it to keep it stuck in so it wouldn't fall out.

Felt the quality of it immediately. It is very comfortable to write with. Great overall feel. Nicely weighed. Highly recommend!!

I've been carrying this around clipped to my pants pocket for a while now and I'm fairly impressed. When I got it, I immediately replaced the ink with a fischer space pen refill and it fit right in. Also, the cap DOES fit on the other end. There is a small o-ring washer in the cap which gives a satisfying snap when pushed onto the back of the pen. You're not going to shake that cap off once it's pressed down! I've beat on this thing pretty hard doing things like breaking up ice for a tailgate party. I have it clipped next to my multi-tool and where they rub against each other it's lost some of its finish, but that's going to happen with anything. That's the only wear spot I'm glad I didn't go cheap and get the knock off version of this!

In quanto appassionato di coltelli conoscevo già Boker e la qualità dei suoi prodotti, quindi quando ho scelto tra le varie offerte di prodotti di questo tipo ho deciso di andare sul sicuro. Le mie aspettative sono state completamente soddisfatte! Il parere estetico ovviamente è soggettivo, ma a me questa penna piace molto e la trovo anche molto elegante. I materiali poi sono di ottima fattura e la penna risutta leggera ma allo stesso tempo da un ottima sensazione di solidità. Il tappo è a vite, cosa essenziale per aumentare la rigidità dell'insieme e poterla utilizzare come un kubotan. La scrittura inoltre è molto fluida e piacevole. Il frangi vetri è presente sul tappo e sembra molto ben realizzato. Ecco, magari si deve fare un pò di attenzione a riporla in una borsa con altri oggetti perché questo li potrebbe graffiare. Sul suo utilizzo come kubotan non posso pronunciarmi, ma ritengo sia uno strumento efficace solo in mani esperte e addestrate ad usarlo. Se il vostro fine è la difesa personale meglio iscriversi ad un corso serio dove magari imparare anche, ma non solo, ad utilizzarlo.

Ich war lange auf der Suche nach einem Tactical PEN der gute Schreibleistungen aufweist und eine gute Qualität hat. Fündig würde ich jetzt beim Böker MPP. Durch sein Gesamtgewicht von 40 Gramm und bei abgenommener Kappe von gerade mal 20 Gramm liegt der Böker sehr gut in der Hand und man kann auch ohne Probleme längere Texte schreiben. Das schreiben ist sicherlich die Hauptfunktion eines Tactical Pens, solange man nicht hauptberuflicher Ninjakämpfer ist ;-) Der Stift macht optisch eine gute Figur und man muss sich nicht ständig für die Optik "rechtfertigen". Die Stiftkappe lässt sich gut und schnell durch ein Drehgewinde entfernen. Die Mine wird durch ein gegenläufiges Drehgewinde ausgetauscht. Beide Gewinde sind durch Gummi-O-Ringe gegen eintretende Feuchtigkeit geschützt. Die mitgelieferte Mine ist schwarz und sicherlich für Vielschreiber nicht die beste, hier würde ich die Fisher Space PEN Mine PR4 empfehlen die einfach ein tolles Schriftbild auch in blau hat. Für Gelegenheitsschreiber tut es die mitgelieferte aber auch erst einmal. Für den Selbstverteidigungsfall ist das Gehäuse als Kubotan sehr stabil gebaut und man kann damit sehr gut die Triggerpunkte seines Gegners bearbeiten. Der Stift liegt hier sehr gut in der Hand. Um mehr Druck aufzubauen legt man seinen Daumen in der Regel auf die Kappenspitze: Hier ist bei mir ein sehr festsitzender Glasbrecher (Metallspitze) angebracht. Diese drückt natürlich etwas gegen den Daumen, da aber so eine Verteidigungssituation sicherlich nicht alltäglich ist, kann man mit diesem Umstand sicherlich gut leben. Generell bin ich deshalb mit der getroffenen Wahl sehr zu Frieden. + Hochwertige Verpackung (Box) + Gute Optik, man wird nicht angequatscht was das denn für ein komischer Kuli ist. + tolle Haptik, liegt top in der Hand + sehr gutes Gewicht, Krämpfe in der Hand gehören der Vergangenheit an + sehr stabil, nahe zu unverwüstlich gebaut - Mitgelieferte Mine ist nicht die beste, kann aber ausgetauscht werden -+ Scheiben/Glasbrecher hätte ggf. auf der gegenüberliegen Seite mehr Sinn gemacht Lieferung war schnell und zuverlässig, würde mir den Stift bei Verlust wieder besorgen.., kaputt gehen wird er aufgrund der Qualität nicht!
