I have bought four pairs total for just hanging out, errands, etc. They are comfortable, have a slightly elastic waist, durable zipper, secure Velcro back pockets, reinforced knees, and a “cell phone” pocket on the right outer thigh. This pocket could be a little bigger for me, but my phone has a lot of bulky case and wallet-y stuff on it. When I put my iPhone 11 Pro in its slim case it fits like a glove. There is also a large watch pocket, ample for my big phone, but deep enough to be secure; and it also has a change pocket, both inside the right front pocket. They do have a bit of a shiny finish, I guess that’s what they mean by “slick pants.” They are very much like something a SWAT officer might wear. I have two pairs of the LAPD Navy. It is indistinguishable from black. I also have the camel and the olive. My favorite pants. Feel very sturdy and solid. Review: Great item - Great item

Needs improvement
True to size, great pair of pants, but. They fly opening is too small, the belt loop placement is off, and the rear pockets sit too low.

Size was way off. Ordered the same size I alway order for pants. These came in two sizes to small.

Opposite of most reviews
Waist size and inseam are on point. Cloth is tough, kind of stiff, and a little shiny. Wide legs, like you see worn in "da hood". Strange fit at top front that doesn't feel or look good- lies very flat and presses on the groin, but then legs have a lot of excess fabric bunching up just south of that. Sending back to Amazon.

Excellent value work pants
I bought a pair this summer for hay making because of the double knees. All my jeans have holes in the knees and are bulky. These have proven to be lightweight, durable, comfortable, and fast drying- good because it's usually hot and humid during hay season. For the $10 price these are as close to perfect as I have found, which is why I just bought 2 more pairs.

Much cheaper
My employer supplies unhemmed Tact Squad Dark Navy pants, but the material of these pants is heavy. I wanted something a little lighter. Many of my normal sized coworkers were able to buy edge chinos from 5.11, but being 6'5", I was unable to find anything that would fit me there. Not to mention the $60 pricetag on 5.11 pants was a deterrent. Enter the Propper pants. I'd worn some of their other uniforms issued at a different job and figure I'd give them a try. The LAPD Navy was almost a perfect match for the dark navy pants I was issued (no one has said anything is 4+ weeks) and they came pre-hemmed. The fact that I can buy two of these for $50 instead of a single 5.11 pair for $60 made it a no-brainer.
