This DVD player is one of the few with a high quality IPS screen. This screen looks amazing! The viewing angle is wider than most others due to the IPS technology as well. It is surprisingly lightweight. The speakers are a notch above ok in that they are stereo, however I recommend them second to a nice pair of headphones(not included). There is a noticeable DVD spinning noise that is remedied by using headphones. I did not dock a star as it is minimal and by nature of design required to an extent for any DVD player to operate. The player was packaged well in an air tunnel sleeve and arrived in working condition even though the Amazon box was damaged. Overall the CUtrip 14" Portable IPS DVD Player is a 5 star large, brilliant(I can not say enough about the contrast and color detail), lightweight and portable unit that has left a great first impression.

A lot of buttons, very few work.

I bought this for my wife who has a small in-home daycare & wanted to replace a DVD player that stopped working.The screen size is so much larger than most players at this price point & the IPS screen has a very high quality picture.The remote is very easy to use. I only wish that the onboard controls had highlighted icons as they're somewhat hard to see but that is really a minor issue as you have the remote. Overall, a great value for the money!

Replaced an old portable DVD player with this one . Did not realize that they now offer 1080P on these small screens. The screen size and price for this was on way ahead of the competition when I bought it in 2019/2. This is going to be awesome for car trips and vacations. Would definitely buy again.

I needed a portable DVD player for an upcoming road trip to keep my kids entertained. I originally wanted an overhead mounted player, but I quickly changed my mind when I figured out how much rear view visibility would be affected in addition to the cost ($2,000 for oem/dealer player, or $1,000 for local aftermarket/local stereo shop). I then looked into headrest DVD players but needing 3 setups for 3 kids was also costly and inconvenient. After spending hours of research on portable DVD players I settled on another manufacturer's 15.6 inch player, it was huge but had a limited viewing sweet spot, meaning it looked great if a single person was watching it straight in front of them, but I needed a player that 3 kids could watch from 3 different seating positions. In addition the 15.6 inch player was too big to sit on top of my front center console, it would rub between the two front seats. I returned that player and purchased the first generation of the CUTRIP 14 IN. DVD player with the IPS screen. I was really impressed with the picture as soon as I turned on the player, it looked great from all angles. Unfortunately my enthusiasm was short lived when I soon figured out the player had picture/sound sync issues. I repacked it and contacted the seller about returning the player. The seller promptly responded and offered to replace it with their new arrival, upgraded model. I agreed and received the new player a few days later. The player is identical to the first one so I was a little skeptical. I turned on the player and it had the same great screen, now for the true test. I played several different movies and found that the picture/sound sync issue had been fixed. This player fits perfectly on my center console and is clearly visible from all seating positions. I like that the screen swivels all the way around so I have the controls up front and all my kids see is the screen. I paired this player up with a Simolio IR transmitter and 3 sets of Power Acoustik IR headphones for a nice quiet road trip and 3 happy kids at a fraction of the price of the other options. The player operation is quiet, the controls take a little getting used to, the picture is great, sound is acceptable through player speakers. Comes with all accessories needed for AC/DC power and aux TV playback. The SD card/USB drive playback is nice, pictures look great on screen. The only thing I wish this player had would be an HDMI input so I could hook up the kids gaming consoles (it does have a 3.5MM RCA/AV input though). But overall I am very happy with the CUTRIP 14 in. upgraded DVD player with IPS screen and would highly recommend it.
