As the 2018 model MacBook Pro ships with only USB-C micro ports (4 nos), was looking for an adapter for connecting to external display, reading memory cards and external mouse transceiver. Came across HyperDrive 8-in-1 USB-C Hub after some research and it works very well. So far, tested SD card reader for transferring high resolution RAW files, tested USB-A port for reading from external hard drive, USB-A port for communicating with external mouse (using transceiver), HDMI port for projecting to TV and USB-C (micro) slot for charging the MacBook Pro. All worked well. Yet to test the Mini Display port). The device does get hot while in use but it is already described and was aware before purchase. I received the space grey colour. Like the MacBook Pro, the body is aluminum and prone to scratches.Update (20-Feb-2019):The adapter does not do a good job when used to project the Mac (tried with MacBook Pro 2018 model) display to certain projectors (especially the ones driven using a controller in between such as the display in an iMAX screen, a home theater system AUX HDMI input, etc). The screen either does not turn up or continuously flickers. A normal USB-C to HDMI converter simply worked in such cases. So, disappointed with the performance of Hyperdrive in these scenarios.

Post some research on the internet for a USB - C drive, I stumbled upon this product and given its reviews, I found the HyperDrive Slim 8-in-1 USB-C Hub being sold by Active Trade India. I received the product before time and the seller got in touch with me to reconfirm the colour that I wanted, etc.The product is excellently packaged and it compliments the Apple MacBook Pro brilliantly with its premium looks and functionality. The product has the brushed aluminium look and feel and functionality wise, it has been great through and through. With multiple port options, this has to among the best USB-C drives available in the market.While there are quiet a few options available out there, I would very strongly recommend the HyperDrive Slim 8-in-1 USB-C Hub as your USC-C drive of choice to use with your MacBook / MacBook Pro.

It's light weight, fits well in my bag and has been very useful so far.It does heat up a bit, but nothing that noticeable.One thing to note is that the Type-C port is for power only and that too a very slow charge. Other ports work flawlessly though..

Overall the product is good... Only challenges that I observed was with1. using the C port for charging the laptop. It does not provide sufficient power while the laptop is on also the hub gets super hot.2. Transferring data from smartphone to laptop.

everything is OK but the hub device temparature increased rapidly if you try to charg laptop using the USB c port available in the hub . Another point is USB C port only use for charging, not able to connect other storage devices on it.

As advertised fully loaded with ports and very practical. Will not travel without it. Perfect companion for the active business user

Smartly designed product with all the basic ports included. All the ports are working fine. Build quality feels premium and top-notch. Overall, a great product with good performance . Would recommend this product for anyone looking a good quality multi-port USB hub for MacBook

Product looks good and works find for first few months though overheats significantly. HDML stopped working in 8-9 months now shows green screen. I changed HDMI cable and monitors but still same result. After spending Rs. 9000/- if such product gives these experience the manufacturer is just a cheater. I would like to have replacement.
