Northstar Mil Spec Shooters Heavy Canvas Bag

I was so impressed with the quality and ruggedness of this bag-- particularly for the price-- that I've returned and bought several more. They are ideal for organising and transporting heavy, sharp pointed items like tools. They arrive folded flat, so I've learned to open them up and stretch out the stiff canvas by stuffing packing material in the main body and all the velcro-flap pockets. Left to sit for a few days, everything fills out-- making it much easier to pack with the intended items. Also, the canvas holds onto lots of stray threads and odd specks from the manufacturing process. A thorough going over with a lint roller keeps it from shedding the extra materials all over your cloth seats and such. A great bag for all kinds of uses-- highly recommended!

After an epic failure of my last shooting bag (half made of thin nylon that self destructed after a few uses) I set out to find something more military grade. I have other bags from Rothco and wanted to get the same thing but for my shooting gear. Well, Rothco doesn't make what I was looking for as far as size and color.So that leads me to taking a gamble on this bag. It's the perfect size for my shooting gear. I was even pleasantly surprised by this bag. It comes with 2 more pockets along the sides that are not in the description giving you even more space to keep stuff. The two pockets run the entire length and height of the bag between the pouches on the sides and the main compartment. Made of very sturdy cotton canvas is what I wanted and I was not disappointed. The base of the bag has a really solid plate of some sort, gives it a high quality feel that your stuff isn't going to tear through the bottom any time soon. I will warn that the Coyote color pictured is much more of a tan color in person... I would personally prefer the shade of coyote in the picture but over all, I would buy it again.

these bags are perfect go bags. I own 4, this is my first one from Northstar and I am happy by the quality and price. the canvas is a perfect material to use for a "working" bag, I can throw this over my shoulder with it loaded down with 10 full mags and it will hold up to the task. Canvas is easy to wash, holds up well to the outdoors and its fairly water resistant. this works perfectly as a small go bag, a day hike bag, an emergency kit bag, an extra mag carrying bag, a shooters bag or any other small bag task. I use one as a go bag, one as a magazine bag, one as a medical bag and the other as a general supplies bag.also on this one it uses Velcro on the pockets, I have two with buttons and two with Velcro. the Velcro is a great addition, buttons aren't flexible when you are trying to secure something larger in the outer pockets.

Did not receive product that looked like picture. No side pockets. Looked like WWII bowling ball bag.

Totally perfect using it for a first aid bag it holds all the first aid supplies I need and a mag light and spare batteries..
