This book covers a lot of ground, and compared to other books of TIA portal is resonably priced.

I have had the Quick Start to Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal) Programming book for about two weeks. The book is exactly what I needed. A very nice step by step tutorial on understanding the concepts as well as creating effective Siemens programs. The chapters are laid out in an easy to read and progressive format. Tons of pictures allows for easy to follow programming steps. Well done.
