I took a chance on this Canadian brand boot because I was tired of paying the high price for Uggs, only to have them fall apart on me (holes in toe area). This boot seems to be of sturdier construction, and I particularly appreciate the nice, thick sole and the stitching. The difference between this an the Uggs is that the Uggs can be pulled on, while these boots require that you unzip at least one of the zippers in order for the foot to slide in. I've had no problems with the zippers, which appear sturdy as well, and zip more smoothly with wear (a little stiff at first). I only wear them up, although you can roll these down and have the fur showing - nice versatility. As far as comfort and warmth goes, there is no difference between these and Uggs, in my opinion. Same quality suede upper with lambswool interior lining - very soft and warm, you can wear them with no socks. Again, my favorite feature of this boot is the solid construction and sturdiness of the boot, while with my Uggs, then appeared "broken in" too soon and looked worn. At Amazon's low price, I highly recommend trying this great boot.
