Amazon Basics Socket Set (201 Piece)

Fantastic set, not just for the money, but in its own right. I have a lot of tools built up over 30 years, including sockets, various extensions, ratchets etc etc - but it's all in my big tool chest and often scattered about the workshop. What I wanted was a "grab and go" suitcase that could cope with quick jobs, even some more moderate jobs, ready to go at all times. To throw in the boot when going away, that kind of thing. I was between this, and the more expensive Halfords professional equivalent. The Halfords is far nicer for sure, and the lifetime garauntee is handy, depending what end of your life you are at 🤣. But I could buy like 4 or 5 of these, for the price of one Halfords set. So really, moot point. Anyway, despite maybe not having the polish of the Halfords set, it's still very decent. Does the job and does it well. I've grabbed it for removing vacuum solenoids, electronic turbo actuators, all manner of interior and under bonnet stripdown, and it's just worked. Absolutely perfect for what I wanted - grab and go, self contained, good mix of sockets, ratchets, Allen keys, screwdriver handle and bits, spanners and more. Can tackle most things, and easy to see if something is missing when the jobs done. Oh and the case is superb too, tough, good latches, and latches on the side too. Very secure, it isn't going to just fall open on you. Each part of the set is held firmly in its place, haven't had anything dislodge yet. So yeah, as my grab and go back up set, love it. Anything more serious and I can pull out the proper gear. Fantastic purchase 👍

I was looking for a good socket set so I did some research before ordering this particular set and it turned out to be highly recommended as a starter set in a mechanics toolbox, so I ordered this set to find out what all the fuss was about. I was not expecting this.., on first appearance opening the case I was very impressed, I was actually looking at a beautiful set of tools. I use to work on cars in the past and used professional tools like Snap-on and other beautifully machined tools and I must say that these almost fall into the same category, these are actually well machined and holding the ratchet and spanner feel very comfortable in the hand like you would feel with more expensive tools, all tools fit snugly in its place while in the case without falling out when opened. So if you're starting out in the mechanics field or just need a good set of tools and don't have a lot of money, these will be perfect to start with. As for durability, only time will tell but well recommended.

Good value for the quality But there are plenty small items that are unessesery

Bought this kit for some DIY work on the car. Fairly good kit for the price if you’re looking to do some small jobs. Only fault i had was the sockets only go up to 17mm. Little disappointed as i bought this set to do an oil change but my sump plug was 19mm. Bought a cheap 19mm socket and I was back in business. Cant fault it, great kit.

I bought these in a hurry as I needed a ratchet and a couple of sockets for a job I was in the middle of. Next day delivery etc. Due to the price and under Amazon Basics, I was fully expecting the quality to be a bit naff but enough to finish the job. WOW! The quality and feel of the spanners, the sockets, and especially the ratchets is as good as any of my Snap On tools. I’m really very impressed especially with the smooth deep-sound of the ratchets. Excellent value for money in my opinion.

This is a really top notch socket set. Very comprehensive and useful with both mm and af. Great range, quality is high. Quite surprised how good it is.

Insane value for money, comprehensive kit all looks real good quality, only 2 pieces were loose in the box, can’t wait to get using it.

Tools are great quality case is terrible does not hold anything all sockets fall out constantly

Super, le meilleur set de rachet à vie.

وصلتني والكل القطع موجودة وكاملة والجودة مقارنة بالسعر تستاهل مادري اذا في بديل افضل

Very good quality for the price , but its not craftsman quality.

Just perfect
