Took this across the country and then back again. Held up well attached to one of the DIN plugs on my BMW K1200LT. Kept my phone charged up and having a battery display was super helpful. Thx.

I own a 08 BMW and besides running a separate line off the battery this was the only other way for external power. Its worked fine for me so im happy with it.

Product works as intended, I have a 2012 BMW F800R with a CAN bus port that can be used for charging or plugging adapters like this into which I can use to charge my phone, etc.One item I was curious about, didn't see it posted here but did confirm, is this will drain your battery over time. I left this plugged into my bike from a Saturday through the following Friday, and the battery voltage when from 13.1v to 8.1v (aka, totally dead). Now, it won't kill you battery during a day trip (e.g., leaving it parked for a few hours), but if you're not riding your bike for more than perhaps 3 or 4 days straight, I would unplug this or you'll have an unpleasant surprise when you go to crank it up. It doesn't matter if the voltage meter on the adapter is lit up or not, it's a constant trickle drain on your battery so when you're done riding for the day (or for the week), definitely unplug this thing.

This unit works as advertised. It does have load limits but that it typical for this type of thing. Contact and connections seem to work cleanly.

Works easy to read

Used on bmw gtl to power my iPhone for navigation. The first day it started smoking and almost started a fire! Maybe I got a bad one. I’m gonna exchange it and try one more. iPhone seems ok....we’ll see.
