Designed for use in very high-temperature environments, Heatcast 40 is Heat Stop’s heavy-duty castable that’s easy to mix and fire and heat resistant to temperatures of up to 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit. This is an ideal castable for special shapes and complete sections in bread and pizza ovens, crematories, flues, incinerators, masonry heaters, boilers, fireplaces, furnaces, kilns and wood stoves. (Use it to create your pizza oven dome and hearth, for example.) Simply mix Heatcast 40 with clean water and trowel or cast the mixture into place for a durable, customized finish that will keep your projects strong and protected from high heat. You will need approximately 20 lbs. of product per square foot when applied 2" thick. Heatcast 40 meets and exceeds A.S.T.M. C-401 Class B code requirements for structural strength and safety.
