I have one of the later model Apple Macbook Air 11 inch models and as happens, the original power cord started going out on me right at the entrance of the cord into the T-style mag-safe plug. I came online to research my options originally looking for a genuine Apple product, but I always like to check out my options. My requirements were pretty basic:1. Really a compatible device (it actually works as intended)2. Easy to travel with (this travels with me almost every day)3. Sturdy construction4. Good value for the money.I've been using this product for around a couple of months now, so here is my review based upon my criterion.1. This was easy to test I was able to unbox and immediately plug into the wall and my computer and everything worked perfectly! I get a 100% charge without any damage to the computer and the Amber / Green indicator lights function as intended.2. This charging plug is extremely easy to travel with. The cord and plug easily fit in my hand and take up relatively little space in my bag. I have to say this, while not perfect, is a pretty good improvement over the Apple OEM "square" design. The apple design looks cool, but you're either lugging around a long extension cord or wrapping as best you can the computer end of the plug in an awkward fashion, and even more so if you use the built in cord wrap. This you just loop up a few times and use the included cord tie and off you go. Not perfect, but good enough.3. There are two main parts of an Apple power plug that always fail: the insulation on the computer end or the cord entrance to the mag-safe portion of the plug. This is the requirement which will be somewhat hard to judge at this point, but the insulation does feel a little different, and the mag-safe head certainly looks built up for more sturdy construction. I think they may have used a different insulation composition which will hopefully be long lasting. So far, so good though.4. This is also a requirement which will take some time to get the final word on, but in general a new power cord from Apple runs about $80 or so depending on the model. I paid around 30 for this power cord. Generally a genuine Apple power cord lasts me about 2 years. So far this cord has been working wonderfully, and if it lasts half the time then it will be of equal value in my opinion. Anything above that will be all to the plus. If this cord suddenly deteriorates, I'll update this review, but much like above -- so far so good.About the only thing I'd like to see improved about this power cord is the cord wrap for transportation. That being said, though, I tend to feel that about almost every power cord for almost all devices. Most manufacturers don't pay attention to small details like this it seems. I digress. So far this has been an excellent product and a purchase I've been quite pleased with. If things change, so too will this review.

Love this charger. I have an 11-inch, mid-2012 Macbook Air that I can't seem to get rid of, haha. It's been such a durable laptop and after upgrading the ram and HD to a SSD there's really no reason to buy a new macbook. Anyway, I've been through a few chargers and recently lost my bulky charger.I'm happy I came across this charger on Amazon. It didn't have many reviews but the few that it did were excellent, so I took a chance. I'm very pleased with the build quality of the charger, its small footprint (takes up SO much less space in my backpack), and the speed at which is charges my macbook.Honestly, Apple should consider selling something like this. I'd buy it a million times over. You wont be disappointed if you're looking for a replacement. I can't speak to how it would fare, though, with a Macbook Pro.

Works great! No issues this far. I was a little skeptical at first just because of price, but honestly they could of charge more. Definitely beats spending $80 on name brand. I use it as a back up at home and have no issues to report. Love it!

Cat destroyed original power cable. We purchased another product and had issues with the track pad skipping due to bad neutral in the replacement charger. Bought this one after the first replacement failed and this is a much better charger. Able to use trackpad with charger connected now.

I love this product! It works just as it says. So far I haven’t had any issues and it charges my lap top super fast! This is a good product for the money spent!

My cat has chewed through two expensive Apple charging cords. I couldn't afford to replace another one, and this one works just fine so far! bought another one to keep on hand!
