Do Cows Meow? (A Lift-the-Flap Book)

This book is so fun! The pictures are bright, the pages are easy for little fingers to turn, the flaps are the mouth of the animal and are adorable. The story is cute and teaches animals and the sounds they make. I bought this for my grandchildren ages 11 months, 2 years, and 3 1/2 years old. They all love it. Any time I need a gift for a young child, I will be buying this book.

The media could not be loaded. If your toddler is anything like mine, they'll be over the moon for "Do Cows Meow?" It's become a bedtime staple in our house because my little one just can't get enough of it. The book is super silly, which makes it perfect for keeping their attention. The illustrations are so vibrant and lively, it's like they jump right off the page! But here's the best part: while we're having all this fun, my kiddo is actually learning! They’re picking up all these animal sounds without even realizing it. It's amazing to see how interested they get when we talk about what noises different animals make.

We love lift a flap books in our house. Most need supervision or taping. This one feels extra durable to abuse. I’m sure it will still tear, but will hold up for a little longer than typical. Pages are thin. The end is a great view of all the farm animals so we can practice names and sounds. Love this book!

Fun for kids

My daughter definitely loves this book but the flaps rip really easily :-( Sometimes we have to hide it from her until mommy can do "surgery". Most of the faces in the book have been taped back together so many times it's unrecognizable! So the book is not very durable but my daughter does enjoy the book, the sounds, and I like the fact that the flap is always on the same side. Some books have flaps on both sides and she doesn't know which one to lift first and often skips some...it's good this book is consistent. The page at the end that folds out on both sides and has all of the animals is definitely a big hit with her!

This book is so simple and cute. Each animal you can open up a flap to see the inside of the mouth and their sounds. My 15 month old loves to do the flaps (although a bit difficult at times for him) and he loves the sounds we will make along the way with each animal!

I’m not going to take a star off for my review, however, it’s weird stylistically that the cat doesn’t have any teeth 😂 but the other animals who have teeth do. As for this being a board book, I don’t feel like it is. It has thicker pages, but the flaps are thin. I got this for my 1 year old daughter who LOVES flap books, but she is a wreck it Ralph and will definitely try to tear this book apart. But I do love this book, the size is really nice too! I wasn’t expecting it to be this large. Overall, a very cute book!
