These were obviously returned to Amazon, then resold as the package was opened, and then taped closed -- lots of tape..The units do not work. Well, actually when they are horizontal, they work fine. Buzz every few seconds like I would expect. Put them in the ground, that is vertical, and they stop working.I have used a different brand before with excellent results. But I do not recommend these, and will toss these in the garbage.

No where in the user manual does it mention to plug wires in both pole parts together. This must be done before the 2 pole parts are screwed together. Other wise device will not function. The wire in the upper pole part is not visable unless you remove the pole from the photo cell, the wire in the lower pole is tucked down the pole and is barely visable.

work great as advertised, moles are gone from the garden.

It surely DOESN'T work. I waited a while before writing this review..... Simply waisted money.

Item failed, only worked for two weeks and stopped working. Would not recharge

there were two solar-battery operated spikes in the package. It appears that the battery is lose in one of the spikes but there is no way to open it without damaging the item. I would return it but I will be charged for that and its not worth it. One of the spikes works

After 3 weeks getting good sun one doesn't work at all and the Chipmunks could be seen admiring the cheerful yellow plastic of the spike. The other seems to be working. NOT a good deal at $30+.
