Tough to seed.

I purchased this product thinking it was a plant. It wasn't! Since we wanted a "firecracker" quickly we planted the seeds and watered them daily to encourage germination. It didn't happen although we continued to water, even today. We've enjoyed firecracker plants previously but this year we were late with our purchase and the local nurseries were out of them. This order was expensive to ship and we thought it was a plant because the description was inaccurate and the shipping outrageous (it's been corected since then.) We contacted the seller and after numerous excuses, we got a partial refund. The seeds were to expire in December 2012 so maybe they were old. We feel jyped because we have NOTHING to show for our order, except the expense.

I planted this seed along with some locally purchased wildflower seed on 2/13. The local seed started showing through the soil about a week later. Some of the other local seed is still coming up. None of the Penstemon has sprouted yet.

Arrived in beautiful paper packaging. I would enjoyed the seeds being enclosed in a little plastic bag to ensure longer viability. But overall very pleased. This seed is not easily found. Thanks Botanical Interests.

I planted the seed last Dec, and the seedlings started sprouting in Feb (SE AZ) with just the winter rainwater.
