I'm 6' 2" 185lbs and this mat is the perfect size. I'd been working with one of the cheap thin 1/8" mats previously and needed to fold it over once or twice to do work on my knees. No more! The thickness of this mat is perfect. Working on a hardwood floor I've got just the right amount of cushion and support under my knees without loosing much if any stability as can be with thicker mats. I would totally buy this again and definitely recommend it as a top pick.

I am new to yoga, and read a lot of reviews before purchasing this mat. I LOVE it! I'm tall, so I appreciate that it's wide and long, and the extra cushion makes posing very comfortable, but does not interfere with balance. There was absolutely no smell to this mat, and it comes with a sturdy carrying strap.Even my yoga teacher commented on what a great mat it was, and asked where I bought it! Now, would love to see this mat in bright colors, too! Highly recommend.

It's okay - the thickness of the mat is great! However, it had a weird oily substance on the exposed area when it was rolled up, washed it and it came off fine, must have been from where ever it was stored at before sending to me. The other issue is that there is very little grip on one side (the side with the squiggly lines). I have yet to try the other side as it keeps rolling up on me preventing me from using that side. So for now i have it rolled up the oppotsite way trying to flatten it out and once it lays flat i will try the other side out and let you know how that goes.

Standard yoga mats are slightly too thin for my old bones. I purchased an extra thick mat and it didn't work because it was too pliable and stretchy and would 'grow' as I tried to move on it. This mat is just right. It's thick enough that my knees don't ache but it is not stretchy. I don't really need the length, but I do appreciate the wider width so that I don't roll off the mat when I roll to the side. I'm super happy I purchased it and I was surprised to see that it comes with an elastic strap for carrying.

I like this mat. I got it to replace my standard yoga mat that I had to use with a blanket for anything on my knees. With this mat, I do not need any additional cushioning for my knees. There is no weird smell and it feels good on my hands. The length is nice as I am on the tall side. I do notice that I am getting a better stretch to my hands using this mat with downward dog as I have a 30 year old hand injury and I think the extra padding is helping open up my hands more, albeit it with a little discomfort. I noticed this morning, that I still needed to use a blanket under my hip bones when I was in bow pose and rocking back and forth for a Kundalini class....but I am, admittedly a bony person - not skinny but my bones seem to protrude more than other people's. All in all, I would recommend this mat with the understanding that you may still have to pad a little if you are bony and putting a lot of pressure on the bone.

I'm approaching 50 and took up yoga as part of my recovery from a bad hamstring injury. I don't know a good yoga mat from a bad one or even if such a difference exists. I ready many product reviews on Amazon but got lost in so many similar complaints about both high and low priced yoga mats. I knew that I didn't want to spend too much but I also didn't want to buy disposable junk. I wanted a little extra length and width as well as a little extra cushion so that I could use the mat on hard or soft surfaces.After a couple of weeks of use, the extra wide mat from My Eco Yoga has been exactly what I needed. It seems to be holding up just fine to my 6' 210lbs of daily use. I've used it trouble free on both hardwood and my carpeted living room floor. Exactly what I needed.

First impressions are very good. The pics in the listing are pretty poor. I wanted a larger mat, and I was concerned that this was just a sheet of "rubber foam" cut off a generic large industrial roll, and it just so happened to look sorta like a yoga mat.But it does appear to be yoga specific, with your traditional patterns and textures on both sides.It is comfortable, without being too thick. No smell. Pretty curly at the ends still.I'm a heavier guy, at 270lbs, so we will have to see how it wears over time when it comes to any wear, rips or tearing. I'll try to remember to update.

This Mat is very good for the price. I needed a yoga mat larger than the normal sizes because I am very tall, and needed good padding for protection from concrete. The thickness does work great. Wonderful compared to my thin one. Had just a little smell that went away after few days out. and I reversed rolled it to help smooth it out. I used it two days after purchase and it was perfect. Needing the big thicker size, this one is perfect.
