Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis Study Guide

Absolute Must Buy
This is a phenomenal resource that is an absolute must have for anyone interested in TCM. The woman seems to value charts and flowcharts as much as I do and is a master at creating them. Her explanations are very clear and totally accessible (provided you look up a few medical terms as you go along). This is one of those rare books that has you grasping the material super fast. She's clearly a gifted teacher and I'd give her 10 stars if I could. I'm a Westerner self-learning TCM. This book makes other TCM books much easier to understand. If you're a Westerner eager for good TCM resources, Peter Holmes' "Western Energetics" (2 book series) is a must have, and you'll get way more out of his stuff after Qiao helps you understand the "why" behind trying to sink the qi.

Every TCM practitioner should own this
This book is brilliant! Its not written for the laymen. It is a book written for the trained practitioner and gives great insight why certain diagnostic criteria equal patterns. Goes well beyond the standard giovani / flaws books. I could blah blah on but for the price its a no brainer!

Great resource
As a visual learner, the diagrams and charts, and the organization of the book make it easier to understand the concepts in a tangible way. Really appreciate having this as a resource.

Incredible Diagnosis Book that all Chinese Medicine practitioners should have
Do not let the relatively low price fool you! It is an incredible book. A lot more practical and useful than those $150 - 200 books out there. A real treasure. The book is detailed, but not bloated, every word is important. Has lot of charts to summarize and visualize the differences among patterns. There are also questions and answers to clarify differences between patterns and gain in depth practical knowledge such as "How to differentiate asthma due to Lung Qi deficiency from that due to Kidney Qi deficiency?" (page 165).There are also additional 200 test questions in multiple choice format to practice exam testing.Essentially the book walks you through diagnosis step by step and teaches theory at the same time. A great balance between theory and practice.A must have for all practitioners. An incredibly study guide for students and a reference for practitioners. Grab one before it goes out of print.

Incredibly helpful for TCM students
This book is a wonderful resource for any TCM student. So much better than the textbook we were required to purchase for class. The explanations are very clear, and it's especially helpful for understanding the pulses. The practice questions are also very useful.
