SOLDRON Portable SMPS Variable Wattage Micro Soldering Station

I was surprised to see that it despite a small, light and low in Watt, it works as good as my Hakko FX88D - which is almost 10 times costlier than this. I am pleased to use it and it does a great job. However, there is only a major issue and which is why 4 stars rating:a) The stand provided is flimsy, though it has a weight to hold and withstand the solder iron, but there is a serious design flaw - when you keep the solder back in it, the tip of the solder iron touches constantly to this stand mess and hence solder stand gets heated too much and thus solder iron loses power all the time even when it is in stand. This means solder iron will never go in sleep mode even when not in use, as the system keeps constantly heats it up due to above flaw. This is also a reason why the base unit also gets warns up. This wastes both power, and life of both solder iron/tip and of stand too. I tried all my best to balance it - could not do due to design flaw and finally I cannot resolved it. Hence I am replacing with a new one hoping that that may not have this issue, else I will be returning and reducing the star rating with the heading "Not to buy"b) Though it is not important but color of the stand in the picture shows the matching color but received a different oddI am a happy customer as of now and recommend it but subject to they remove that serious design flaw in stand.

It is not working. Not able to work for soldering. Unable to provide sufficient temperature for soldering.

I bought this Soldering Iron with SMPS micro Soldering Station variable voltage some short time back from a reputed on-online portal. It has a problem of not getting hot properly and now it is not getting hot enough to melt the soldering wire. As a result, I am not able to work with it at all. I do my household and hobby jobs for myself, not for profit.My choice to buy a reputed Indian brand at a higher price than many. But it all proved disappointing. I contacted the manufacturer over mail, phone, and on the company site complaint window. but of no avail., there is no response. It proved to be a waste of money and a loss of trust. Could anyone please give me your Service Center contact in KOLKATA?The comment I made immediately after delivery was:- "1. The temperature regulator is useful but after the minimum, it should have 'twist to off' mode also. This could be a safety as well as waste prevention feature.2. The solder iron part should be detachable from the regulator so that another 'Soldron' make soldering iron with different bit could be readily replaced for convenience of work".

The item is better than the description on website. You get good packing. This is a micro soldering gun helpful for soldering smaller objects and delicate wires like for earphones etc. You have enough wire from SMPS to the solder iron apart from the mains cord. So overall you can work far enough from the mains socket. Product is valued for the price. The stand is having ceramic protection to avoid iron spring contact with the heating element. The(micro) stand is of ordinary quality and looks like came complimentary with the iron. The SMPS is having indicator for the "power on" indication.

Good and useful product. Temperature control helps in good soldering joints without overheating the delicate components. Initially I had an issue with the power supply as it started blinking and the iron was not heating after 1 hour of use but with technical help from the manufacturer the issue was resolved. If the power supply blinks the system needs to be reset by switching it off turning the temperature controller to minimum and then switching it on. I don't know why the solution of this problem is not written anywhere in the product papers.

No on off switch, attractive colour but prone to get dirty. Temperature control is bit messy, no temperature indicator.

I'm using this to solder Raspberry Pi Zero headers pins. Works flowlesse. I'm not sure what's best solder machine since this was my first every soldering at home. And I was able to solder fine. I was using medium level of voltai and solder worked out pretty well.
