Good For what it is and for what it does; Price likely a function of small volume production
It's a good product that can be used in Honda inverter generators and also in 20" Honda Snowblowers. The machining and product quality is high. It IS expensive for what it DOES, however may not be that expensive for what it IS, given that I'd guess it is a low volume production item.I have a 2000i, a 2000i Companion, and a 20" Honda Snowblower, and can use it on all 3. The same could be said for a cheap rubber or plastic funner, however this is much more "elegant." Given the $2700 I have "invested" in these 3 Honda motorized products, I don't find the <$20 cost of this metal funnel to be much of an issue, but your opinion may differ. I do agree that it would be better if the far end was wider, which would make filling from the oil bottle easier, and also that having an easy way to measure the oil level with the funnel in place would be welcome.

Excellent
The product does what it is designed to do- change the oil with no mess. Very simple to use.

Worth the Money!
Makes oil changes far easier. I just changed the oil in my EU1000i without this & there is oil down inside the plastic casing now that I cannot get to. Add a little dust from he outdoors & it becomes a quick mess in there. This will help GREATLY with the next oil change by extending the drain spout out beyond the plastic case. This does not stay installed on the generator. It is simply a threaded tube inserted where the dip stick is to aide in pouring out the oil.

drains oil well from a EU2000
This is a nice product, it makes draining the oil a lot easier and mess free. Fits well and easy to use.I keep it in a zip lock, as once it gets dirty it is hard to clean. Oil pickup rag through the bore to clean it is fine, but the outside stays dirty.I do not use it to fill with oil, too hard to see the oil level, and too slow to unscrew to check and screw in again, a tiny funnel is much easier.

A real necessity... makes oil changes fast and spotless.
This is simply a threaded, open tube. When you're ready to change the generator's oil, ya take out the dip stick and screw this tube in its place. Then turn the generator upside down, refill through the tube and replace it with the dipstick. Job's done. Without this device the entire bottom of the generator is coated with oil forever. There's no mess when you use this tube.

Nicely made, not as useful as I thought
I'll start by saying this thing is beautifully made of milled aluminum, and is quality throughout. It's great for draining. However, the funnel function described in ads makes it really easy to overfill the unit. Also, I'm not sure cleaning the tool after use is all that much easier than cleaning the few drops I've spilled without it.If you like cool tools, you'll like this. If you're looking for a strictly utilitarian way to make oil draining cleaner, pick up a dollar's worth of suitably sized vinyl or tubing from your local hardware store or home center.

Useful not great.
I used this with my EU2000i and EU3000is with mixed results. On the EU2000i it makes the draining much less messy and isn't needed on the EU3000is draining. I used a small PIG form-a-funnel to reduce the draining mess for the EU3000is. It slightly reduced the fill mess on both. The gotcha was I didn't have a good way to tell when it was nearing full. I kept having to mount-remove-test over and over again. Even so: I over filled both generators and had to clean up. The barrel should be a little wider to facilitate pouring and a matching long dipstick should be included to allow testing without removing the nozzle. Maybe I'll make one.

A must have for your Honda generator. Just be ...
A must have for your Honda generator. Just be prepared to still make a bit of a mess, but it won't be in the bottom of the gen set. Unless you pre measure your oil, you may either overfill or under fill and have to take it out and put it back in several times.
