Good solid product
I looked for this release for a long time and finally found one again. I learned with these a long time ago and am not pleased with the never products I found in stores. The ball bearing devices seem to be much easier on the bow string and provide a smoother release. The tension can be adjusted easily with a small allen wrench. I highly recommend this product for adults and kids; my 7 and 12 year olds use them, too.

Great gear! Fair price
The item that came was the original not the model 2; however, I was buying this one to replace a model 1 that I lost. I love this release as much as the one I lost. They just work and are so adjustable to wrist size.

Old Reliable--New Disappointment
I have used this release for six or seven years now, both in practice and hunting. I would have given it 5 stars based on that release alone, but I thought I would get another one to have as a back-up. The newer one does not work as well as the older one I have been using, and is difficult to attach to my draw loop. Sometimes I have to spread the ball bearings with a pocket knife to get them to separate. I don't know if the Trophy Hunter is made by a different manufacturer or if they "cheapened" it to keep costs down, but the quality is not as good as my first one. I would have recommended this release to any archer based upon my "old reliable," but would not do so based upon the second one.ADDENDUM: Talk about coincidence--I submitted the proceeding this morning and gave it 3 stars. However, I have downgraded my review because of what happened this evening to my 9 year old son. Both of my sons have Parker SideKick bows set to approximately 20lbs. My 9 year old was using the newer release attached to a drawloop on his string and in mid-draw THE RELEASE BROKE!!!! The housing that holds the ball bearings is PLASTIC, and one side broke in half. The result was that his string jumped the bottom cam and he punched himself in the cheek. Luckily he was not hurt. I have since found out that Pro Release makes a Trophy Original release and a Trophy II release. My first is an original and is great. In my opinion, the Trophy II is an inferior product.

I was very happy with my order
I was very happy with my order. It arrived a week before it was expected, and that was great. The product meets all my expectations and then some. Very satisfied!

Not like the original - inferior parts - flimsy trigger bends
I had the original Trophy Hunter release from many years ago. It served me well for 20 years until my son dropped it on concrete and it broke. I looked for it on Amazon, and found that there is a new version. I ordered it, and am very disappointed in the changes made. The original ball bearing design worked flawlessly - the new one I can barely get attached to my string. The balls were replaced with triangle shaped metal pieces. In order to get it clipped on the string, the bow needs to be in a vertical position. As anyone who bowhunts knows, when a whitetail buck is approaching, you just need to be able to get the release on the string without tipping your bow this direction or that. In addition, the trigger is made of flimsy plastic, and when you pull on it, will straighten out completely. I would not recommend this release to anyone based on these flaws.
