Ridiculously awesome for science communication
Bought this for use with the public at a National Wildlife Refuge - I'm a biologist. I learned about this microscope at a nearby science demonstration museum and was hooked. I went with this model for the higher resolution photos, video capability, etc. It's amazing. Clarity is super. The only thing that irritated me was that the snapshot button is hair-trigger. I was snapping all sorts of unintentional photos. But that's solved by changing the settings in the included software to require a double-tap instead of a single-tap shutter. My wish-list improvements: make it plug-and-play with standard drivers and no add-on software required. Seems it could be configured to work like a generic webcam. Second, make it compatible with iPads. That would make this truly field-going.

Awesome product
This thing is incredible. I use it for live streaming our labs surgeries on mice, as well as an easy and portable microscope. Well worth the money!

Discover a new world
This is exactly what I've been searching for. For years I've been wanting a USB Microscope of sorts, to help aid with viewing small things in greater detail. This microscope fits the bill perfectly. While the DinoLite software is a bit glitchy, it works. The camera itself works very well, the static-sensing Microtouch feature is awesome. Overall, this thing is really cool regardless if the software gave me a couple hicups during install. Once installed, its just very useful. I easily spent hours enjoying this right out the box and look forward to having more fun with it in the future.

Needed for our lab, waste of time
We needed a micrscope to analyze some samples we were sending for defects. Essentially, the microscope needed to produce clear images and have a quality light. This microscope (after looking at other reviews) was the one I chose, and in retrospect, there are much better options out there. The pointer was way too sensitive, the software was not user friendly, and the light was ok but not great. I ended up returning this and getting a magnifying lens with light that clamps to a table.

The LED light does not dim
The led light does not dim on this model. Check their other models for ones that dim if you need that feature. Will be returning this product.

Not for slabbed coins pictures
I purchased it with MS35B Rigid Tabletop Stand to make pictures of the slabbed coins. It's a good camera, easy to use, but I wasn't able to get rid of a camera's glare. I know I could try and buy a polarizer, but it's gonna be too expensive package for just making slabbed coins pictures. I returned these 2 items. Instead I'm gonna use my Samsung Galaxy S8 camera and Tryone Gooseneck Tablet Stand.

It has everyone else in the Science department drooling
Setup was easy, the software is logical, and the images are clear. The zoom is sufficient to allow you to study an individual grain of salt and observe tissue structures on a prepared slide, but not enough to view individual cells.

I bought this due to overall good reviews of Dino-lite products
Dissatisfied by lower powered lenses, I bought this due to overall good reviews of Dino-lite products, but have been disappointed with the results since I am unable to get clear views or photographs of items being examined. Also, the photo button should not be on the microscope itself-would have been better to have the button on the cord itself. I also bought a couple of Dino stands, so over $500 for something that doesn't do the job.
