Small Loose Hair Tool for Dreadlocks

I previously had the bigger version up until I lost it. I loved it, although I always thought the loop was a bit too big for my application. So I decided to get this version. Let's just say it's way smaller than I anticipated. It broke on the 4th dread.... very fragile. I can't give it more than 3 stars because it did break on me, but I don't want to give it less because I do feel it was a bit too small for what I was using it for. If you need to do your ends, go with the bigger version, as this one probably isn't for you. I'll be buying another one of the bigger ones personally.

I have used this tool for almost a year now and find it works beautifully on my small dreads. Larger tools would be impossible to use. I have 99 dreads so they are not fat. It has held up perfectly. I love it. I open the latch push the tool up through my dread to the loose hair then put the hair inside the hook, close the latch and pull the loose hair inside. usually I use a fine crochet hook to gather the loose hairs together by pulling a bunch of loose hairs through the dread. This makes it easier to then use the latch hook.

The tool is small but not small enough for my locs. It also got stuck in between my hair. Overall i still like it, maybe I'll use it when my locs get more mature

I didn't pay attention to size. This tool is quite small. It works well on small locs, but not full grown ones unless they are super thin

Not sure about this product. It looks quite thin and flimsy as if it will break easily. Will submit another review when my stylist uses it.

I fixed half a dozen of my dreads, and the tip broke off in the seventh. Literally in, I've got a shard of metal somewhere in my hair. Arrived way before it was estimated though, that was good. Needs something to keep the latch closed I think, it seemed too get stuck while I was withdrawing it. Seemed like the best tool for what I needed, spent enough to get it over to the UK so pretty disappointed.
