Willis's Elements of Quantity Surveying 12th Edition

This edition introduces the basics of measurement and incorperates the new rules which makes it easier even for beginers in building and surveying courses. I can confindently say that it is a must have for every student even at Bsc level.

Excellent book I use for reference. I'm pleased with the structure of this edition and how well the information and explanations are presented.

Very comprehensive analysis of how to measure construction project with many and analytical examples

...Literally couldn't put this book down. Thrilling writing by Willis and his crew.Here is a small snippet.....The approach taken here is to find he internal girth and use the 4/2/the distance moved principle....A few plot twists that I didn't see coming, though I won't ruin them for you.A must have for the connoisseur QS

Supplier - Very good service.The volume has been up-dated to meet the NRM2 classification. Not much use if you are studying the Measurement unit for a BTEC level 3 though - the syllabus is still SMM7.Those who are training QS's though will find it a good reference even though most 'take offs' are now electronic. Sandra Lee has joined the team who have basically up-dated the previous versions. The contents has very good reference to NRM2 though which industry uses. An excellent volume for the profession.

Couldn't recommend this enough for someone completing the Measurement modules of any QS degree. It is basically an idiots guide to how to measure each element of a building in accordance with NRM2. It contains a lot of examples, with drawings and marked up DIM's. If you are an aspiring QS, or even qualified and need something to brush up your skills and refer to, get this book. It is worth the money ten fold.
