The Testament of Loki (Loki Trilogy) Paperback

Harris is one of my favourite writers and I loved her novel, The Gospel of Loki so had high hopes for this sequel. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. The Testament of Loki is a corker of a book, well-written, engrossing and totally original. This book is set after Ragnorak. This book and The Gospel of Loki are apparently part of the author’s Runes series along with Runemarks and Runelight (which I haven’t read) so I’ll need to read the four of them together to get the whole story. Loki is the narrator here as he is in The Gospel of Loki. He’s a full of schemes and plotting as ever. I loved the concept of the book, Loki and other key players including Odin being able to make their way to earth (or Midgard) via a video game called Asgard! I loved every word of this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Gospel of Loki and looked forward to reading the latest offering. How disappointed I was, it’s one of the few books I’ve returned for a refund. Harris tries to pull off what Neil Gaiman achieved with American Gods but only succeeds in demonstrating that she’s no Neil Gaiman.Fine if you are an uncritical fan of teen modern fantasy but not for the adult reader.

Fabulously entertaining. Unputdownable with rich characters and a modern link between Norse mythology and the 21st century.

I wasn't sure I would like this book. I had really, really loved Runemarks and Runelight so much that I couldn't wait to read The Gospel of Loki. However I was disappointed by that one for some reason I can't explain. However really loved this one, thoroughly enjoyable read thank you Joanne Harris.

A glorious follow-up to the Gospel Of Loki - Testament of Loki is a rollercoaster ride through the aftermath of Ragnarok into the worlds that follow - with our favourite Trickster narrator guiding us on the way.I loved this book, and I have a soft spot for this fictional Loki. He ALWAYS has a plan.

After reading and thoroughly enjoying The Gospel of Loki I was looking forward to this book. For me this book lacks the humour and charm of the last book and i feel it is more aimed at the teenage reader than the adult.

Brought this for my daughter for her birthday and she loves it. And it's super value for money.
