small bright patches in high-contrast scenes tend to flicker or shimmer with this camera. My guess is that this is a side effect of the camera's firmware trying to achieve higher dynamic range. The effect is significant enough to rule out using this camera for computer vision / automation, but it'd be more than adequate for e.g. a rear-view vehicle camera or security camera.
