product: good, works 80% of the time; however the metal work is poor and can bent within the limits of normal use. The steel needs to be heat-treated, and an edge applied to the cutting portion of the tool.Comparison: Not that good. I just used the cracker on four lobsters. It went through the large claws and tail, not like butter, but very well. It made opening the lobsters so much less than a chore and their shells are much harder than Alaskan crab legs. I would highly recommend this product.

It's not thick enough and not sharp enough to easily go through king crab. It’s too flimsy for snow crab as well. It’s not the greatest but better than some other crab products.

The shell openers is simple and inexpensive; but, it does what it is supposed to do. I have found that it works well and am glad I did not buy and expensive one.

This product was recommended to us by my brother-in-law. When it arrived I was skeptical that it would work but we discovered that it gets through crab shells without a problem. Not only that, but the follow up by Gifts by Kaz was outstanding. They sent an e-mail offering a refund if we were not happy. Naturally I am very impressed with both the product and the provider. I would recommend both.

These make short work of tough crab legs! Don't hesitate to buy. Very robust. I'm ordering more for guests who share with us.
