Not perfect
It's exactly what it looks like. Doesn't hold throttle open longer then 3 secs and slips off rubber ring it comes with. Not bad for the price but I don't really use mine because of what I stated

It works...for the most part.
Firstly, incredibly easy to install. I've tried a few different types of Throttle Locks and they never seemed to work right. I run Rubber, aftermarket grips, and I think that was the major contributing factor to their failure.A friend told me about this and figured for the money, I'd give it a try. I put it on a day before a 600 mile camping weekend in Vermont. I can say, it came in very handy. It works easy and holds speed, for the most part. It seemed to slowly slow down at highway speeds. Not significantly, but it still happened. It could be because of the grips. I used to to give my hand a break of course, but on some long roads where my speed was consistent, it was also good with holding speed while not having to hold a right grip on the throttle. Sort of like one of the palm kind of throttle helpers.Anyhow, I would definitely recommend the product.

bought again for new bike! (updated review!) Seriously - can you spend $20 better?
*****update*****We recently had a chance to trade up for a 2004 Ultra Classic - my wife LOVES the new bike and all it's comfort, radio, CD, and CB and all the doo-dads. I love that she wants to ride almost every night after work now...and we go somewhere each day of the weekends it's not raining. The ISSUE IS...I don't like the "regular" cruise control after having this little awesome gadget on the other bike! I RE-BOUGHT IT for the new bike! The guys are the local HD shop think I'm nuts...and my CMA club thinks the factory cruise works just fine for them...but I tell ya - this is so intuitive...it's MUCH EASIER to use for me than the factory cruise control. I can use it at ANY SPEED and it gives my right arm the break it needs or wants. I simply use my index finger to set it....and I'm not having to worry if I am over 35 mph, or if the switch is on for cruise, or if I hit the wrong button and change the radio or CD....no thank you...I'll take the Go Cruise for the win, Alex...and I don't care if I ever use the factory cruise control! LOVE THIS!I've ridden for almost 4 decades. NO bike I have ever owned has had cruise control. My 1998 Harley Road King Police is my current ride.I've started riding longer distances with my CMA group and this is SO handy. Intuitive to use and simple to install (or remove if you wanted) I think it's just as much a part of how I ride now as a heel shifter.

Good, but could be better.
I just used the Go Cruise on a 2,000 mile road trip and I am pleased with it's performance. If the video that Go Cruise uses to promote their product was a bit more accurate in the ease of use of this product then it might have gotten a better review. Instead of the "one touch" throttle setting that is shown in the video the reality that I experienced was much more involved. I had to adjust the setting of the Go Cruise several times, each time I used it, in order to maintain the proper speed. I would have understood the necessity of this in hilly terrain, but I was travelling pretty flat ground. However, once set to the right speed, I was pretty happy with it. I still have it on the motorcycle which, for me, is a good sign that I like it and will continue to use it, otherwise it would be lying beside the road somewhere. If I had it to do over again I would probable get the upgraded version with the tension control. Good product!! Also, big thanks to Amazon for the fast time on the transaction!!

Simple yet effective
A little high priced for a simple piece of molded plastic. But it's still better value than all the high priced options.

Great idea. Horrible execution.
The little rubber ring is a good idea to give the cruise control bit some grip on your... grip. Sorry. I have bar end mirrors. Before they are removed, I have to remove the bar end turn signals and disconnect the wiring. That requires partially removing the gas tank. I'm not doing all that.I did not feel comfortable with this AT ALL and ended up hitting my kill switch while I was on a 4 lane highway bridge. Plus, you have a sudden and very severe lack in speed unless you coast with the clutch in while fiddling with this. Any, and I mean any, change in the road makes you go faster or slower. You spend more time fine tuning this thing instead of enjoying the ride.I tried! Maybe it works for some of you, but I would not recommend this to anyone. It's inexpensive, so feel free to try it out. Maybe you'll have a better experience and love it. Best of luck!

Almost an essential for long distance riding
If your bike doesn't have an electronic cruise control, this is an essential alternative. If anyone has ridden for more than an hour at a time on the highway, you know that hand cramps can and will happen. The throttle lock that comes stock on many bikes aren't all that practical. The Go Cruise is an inexpensive alternative to a cruise control and a better choice over some of the other choices that lock your throttle. This one goes on your handlebar grip. That makes it easy to reach. Other reviews said it sometimes will slip or get loose. I never had any real issues with that on my last 2500+ mile trip. Sometimes I had to make micro adjustments, especially when riding up an incline or down a decline to maintain a constant speed. But on a straight road I didn't really have a problem.I usually keep my hand resting on the handlebar anyway. So I'm always ready to react quickly if needed. What the Go Cruise does is give your hand the needed relief from having to keep your hand wrapped around the throttle while on long runs. For $20, it's well worth the price and makes gobbling up miles on the slab much more enjoyable.
