One Armed Swordsman

I normally really like the classic SB movies but this one I thought was terrible

By current standards, this film will seem a little dated. However, fans of original classic martial arts films I am sure will enjoy this. The story moves at a reasonable pace and does have a (mostly) happy ending. A bit bloody in places so probably not for minors.

I wanted to see this flick for years but with the quality of VHS back in the day was so poor i left it. I had managaged to get the follow up to it and that was wicked. This one ranks as one of my favourite early wang yu shows he is truly made for this role as good student dedicated to his master but yet not being truly accepted as one for the crew due to his lineage. His father was a servant to his now master so when his father.....what am i doing sorry, this flick is so good i always like to give a little taste to reviewers. All i will say is that Wang yu epitomises the role and if you are a Old Skool kung fu type, i promise you will NOT be disappointed A true shaw bruv classic!!!

US import cant watch it

I do not hate it there is a USA code on it so it won't show on my DVD player. This is not fair as its a classic I have been after for years.

A fantastic release of a true classic, I've read about One-Armed Swordsman in books and websites about cult films for ages. The film was on my watch list for some time and thanks to 88 Films, I can take off the list and put it up on my DVD/Blu-ray shelf.The video and sound quality are great, the film looks beautiful and sounds amazing. 88 Films are doing amazing work here their Asia line. I wholehearted recommend this line and special this film to anyone and everyone. As someone feels the fight scenes in Hollywood movies aren't really good, films like One Armed Swordsman really do putt them to shame.
