Williams Sound PPA VP 37-00 Personal PA Value Pack System

I'm pretty impressed with what I'm reading about this. We'll give it a go!

Good system. Setup straight is forward? Range is no good if trying to use in different rooms more than 40ft away according to my test. That was through 1 set of solid wood doors and 2 sets glass doors. I know range is based on line of sight but for the sake of potentially useful information, there you go. We have a small area of use so I cannot vouch for line of sight range over 40ft as well but I feel confident it would support it's rated range. Transmitter is very sensitive to other wireless devices in close proximity (within 3ft). Had to move transmitter away from wireless router and wireless mic receiver to eliminate noise. So far battery life is good I guess. Supplied batteries have lasted approx 6.5hrs of use and still going. Went with Williams based on hearing them recommended by A/V companies bidding our new worship center system. This is the only system we have ever used so I have no comparisons to others. This kit did not include headsets. FYI ,the cheap ones that are under five at the W mart work great.

We used this Brand already in a rack mounted system in our main auditorium. When we needed a "mobile" version for classes that contained those with hearing issues, we turned to this portable model. It works very well. The sound quality is as sharp as the rack mounted, more expensive, model. Because this one is used in classrooms, I can't give testimony to the range beyond the large classroom setting; but the classroom holds over 100 people and there is NO LOSS of quality or volume anywhere in the room. Also, the 4 included receivers match the models that we already use in the auditorium, and require no manual setup when switching between the two. Just turn on the receivers and they find the transmitted signal. I highly recommend that you use this company for you ADA hearing needs. Just one suggestion with this model. If you are only using the provided antenna, it will work best to move the transmitter away from any other electronics. The power cable and provided RCA cable are sufficiently long enough to accomplish this.

The Williams Sound PPA is now being used by my church with a membership of 1000 persons. We have a large main hall, and the system is able to clearly receive the signal in the most distant area of the hall, and even outside the building. It is very reliable, and everyone who uses it is very satisfied with its performance.
