No sack should be without this
I use these for my HAM radio โs. I make my own headphones cables for hands free operation and these little puppies are just the thing for the foot switch. They are super easy to use and easy to solder

Works for me..
These are serviceable but they don't seem very heavy duty. Small things like a clear plastic isolator inside was cut poorly but did function. The strain relief spring while a nice touch was a bit weak. I put a length of heat shrink over it and that helps out a lot. Better ones will cost more and it may depend on how you plan to use them if its worth the extra cost. I do not dislike this item but if you want rough and tumble Gig or go home battle ready gear this probably isn't it. But it doesn't carry that price either.

Well built with good materials
These jacks are well made with solid materials . If you have a use for this ...buy it.

AVOID!!!!
VERY VERY POOR QUALITY!!! I wired 2 of these up and neither of them work well at all. The spring is loose so the plug rattles around and causes all kinds of noise and feedback. Not worth an money really as they DO NOT WORK! Perhaps i got a bad batch but the quality on my batch is terrible and there is no way to fix it.

The cap is too tight ...
...IF you want to put even a single wrap of electric tape around the post the cap won't screw on.

Poor quality - not to spec.
Socket is not to spec. The opening is larger than 1/4 allowing play in the plug when inserted. While the plug may naturally stay in contact 99.5% of the time, I'm not going to risk having it drop out or crackle during a gig. The purpose of the socket is to maintain a consistent connection. I don't see these meeting that expectation.
