The "Java" All Weather Coat by Jean Paul Germain

I have a dress code in my office so I need to wear a business suit but the heavy wool coats weight too much and never cover my chest - hate wearing scarfs and hate dry cleaning bills for it. The best thing that I could wear as an outer coat is a rain coat with a removable lining so it can adjust for all weather and this coat is machine washable. That is why this coat is perfect. I looked everyplace for a machine washable raincoat with lining and I could not find any except coats that are made as part of the skinny clothes trends so I can't wear a suit under any thing I saw out there.I think the reviewers saying this coat is cut large (and it is) don't probably get that this was made to also accommodate you wearing a dress jacket under it. It looks good in a formal and informal setting.

I took this jacket as my only outer coat on a recent autumn trip to London, that turned out to include one of the rainiest, most blustery stretches on record. It served perfectly, shedding the torrential rain like a proverbial duck and buffering against wind gusts the way "windbreakers" rarely are able to do. The removable liner was just right for the autumn cold, and with a sweater to reinforce the uninsulated sleeves, the jacket would also serve in mild winter conditions. The liner even zips to the top of the neck to serve perfectly well in place of a muffler if you forget one (which I did). When the weather warmed, I just removed the liner, so that the jacket served just as well in the more moderate conditions.

Love the bib style. Coat looks modern, stylish, nice material and workmanship. Tried two other sizes 3XB and 4XB in additional to the 3XT (for guy 350 lb 6' 1", shirt 18 34/35) the 3XB fit fine but over suit when raised arms felt the sleeves rode up too much so went with the 3XT. Sleeves were a tad long then but preferred that to too short when raised. Wore it in rain and unexpected snow storm (bit light for that but brief time outside so OK) and made out fine. Fit well over suit. Keep in mind it doesn't have a hood so you will still need an umbrella or hat in heavier rain. The seller was extremely helpful--responded quickly to inquires about shipping (needed quick for a trip). Got me 4 coats in 2 days (not a prime seller) even when I accidentally ordered a 4th coat (different style) in a separate order (didn't realize same buyer---hey! it was late :) Highly recommend!

An excellent choice for Northwest winters that will go well with jeans or a suit. I received the coat early in time for a trip to the east coast during the recent frigid cold. It performed flawlessly keeping me warm on a frigid 18 degree day walking almost a mile to my workshop. The vest is very warm but easy to unzip when going inside to keep from overheating. The pockets are perfectly placed from me in my LT overcoat without the cheap zippers on other coats allowing me to comfortably slip them in the pockets to keep warm. The sleeves are a bit baggy but with a sweater underneath it was less noticeable. One of my favorite coats or jackets in my closet now.

He will love it, as mine did! Amazing quality and fit for this price. Removable liner makes this a multi-season jacket, depending on where you live. We got this for 2 weeks in England (like another reviewer--how funny!) but it has transitioned perfectly back to our rainy Seattle winter. It packed great, too, no wrinkles. It looks good with jeans as well as dressier slacks--truly a multi-purpose jacket with a clean fit that flatters his frame.

way too large for size description. Also very black. The photograph is misleading as is the name Java. This coat is dark shiny black.

The quality looks very good, and my husband really liked it, but the large was more like an extra large for him, so we are returning and ordering a medium. Nice warm zip-out liner and overall very good looking.

It was nicer than I thought it was going to be. I'm extremely happy with it. The zip out liner makes it very flexible.
