We purchased a property that has 40+ fruit trees on it and we love them. Adopted some goats last year to help us with the over abundant weed problem we received after an awesome monsoon season. They did a great job on the weeds - until they discovered the fruit trees. Ugh. Since there were no leaves on the trees because they were dormant, the goats decided to eat the bark. On my mature fruit trees. Amazingly, we did not have curry after discovering the damage... and yes, we still have our goats, we just learned to tether them! A neighbor suggested this product and we had to have faith it would work once spring rolled around. I'd suggest getting a bunch of disposable gloves to use for applying this stuff. It makes a tedious job much easier than using a brush. Plan on spending more time than you think you will. Walk around your tree twice after applying it - to verify you've covered every spot. It didn't save every tree or branch - some damage went too deep, but most of the branches/ trees that we lost had spots that we missed. We'd give it a 95% success rate - and will always keep it on hand just in case. FYI, the pics are of one apple tree we have.

Excellent product. This is one of those things that you may never know what would happen if you didn’t use it… but every time I lop a large branch off a tree I coat it with this, and the tree doesn’t seem to mind. I even had some damaged bark on a couple small trees from a mower, and coating with this has helped seal it out and prevent rotting or drying.

Great product! Will keep bugs and birds out of your tree wounds.

We had a pecan tree that we needed to cut, but we didn’t want it to have just fresh wood out and we needed something to sell it and this was great the first bucket we got it was destroyed and shipment, but they did replace it and send us another one and so far we think it’s doing great

This forms a winderful barrier againt insects, woodpeckers an squirrels. I put it on a huge tree hit by lighting. Half the tree was gone but treekoted the wound an the other half of tree has shown no signs of dying. I hav since treated all my trees wi a few exceptions. I hav a tree service coming in the fall to treat the areas higher up the trunks. I used a paint scraper to apply an it was like icing a cake. Easy to use but wear gloves.

Due to various mishaps, this tree coat salve has been a lifesaver for several trees that nearly died. This stuff really works and saved many of my trees. Just slap it on the trouble spot and watch the healing begin!
