Concurrent GPS&GLONASS dual satellites helps accuracy. The device receives more satellites signals to improve accuracy and reliability, especially when poor weather or at critical landforms. When Linux and Android systems require geography locators, GR-A013 is easy to install for the device driver is already built-in. Raspberry PI users are welcomed to use the device. Built-in magnet for any metal attachment. It is an useful navigation device for land, aviation and marine. 4-satellites constitutes a gps position. 2-concurrent-constellations gps receiver , which has normally connected more than 10 satellites, is the most optimized for accuracy and reliability. GPS receiver connecting more than 2 constellations doesn’t improve accuracy.

Not Great
First, I like that it’s small and magnetic. Theoretically, the fact that it’s USB should be a good thing, powered by the USB and doesn’t require batteries. However, in practice…I tried 6 programs and this device was not compatible with them. I am running a PC with windows 10, all up to date.-Google Earth Pro-Google Maps-Tactical NAV (through Android Bluestacks emulator)-ATAK CIV (through Android Bluestacks emulator)-Waze (through Android Bluestacks emulator)-Topo Fusion for PCThe driver and website that were included in the directions on this device were worthless. The GPS viewer program link was a broken link, and the driver did not do anything. Luckily, windows 10 was able to recognize the device, but you had to ensure that you specified the right COM port to your mapping program.Theoretically it is GPS and GLONASS capable. I was only able to get it to work in TopoFusion, using 9600 baud rate and NMEA Garmin settings. There was no way to tell how many satellites I was connected to or what type. With my computer 5 feet from the window, the device would not connect to any satellites unless I set the GPS on the window sill. The biggest drawback in the design is that most PC programs are designed to receive GPS signals through a serial port. No single GPS program does everything you want it to, so you need a range of programs depending on the situation. In theory, the GPS you use should be able to be compatible with several programs using the generic NMEA GPS base protocol…so why this device doesn’t work across the board, I don’t know. I can tell you the included instructions are near worthless. I spent hours working on this. It also will not work on an ICOM-7100 using a female USB to mini-USB adapter. This device barely provides functionality if it is not compatible among a range of very common programs like Google Earth or Waze.I really wanted this to work because I like the form and magnet, but I do not recommend this product, and I am returning the 2 that I bought.

Works great with linux. Super easy to use
This review is for initial impressions only. I have only had the device for a few hours. I will update with long term review later on. I have used many of the other cheaper usb gps devices and this one seems much better. I used the gps for a custom application. Couldn't be any easier to use. Took me 20 minutes to write the code to integrate into custom application. No need for sketchy proprietary drivers. With proper permissions you can just read the /dev/ttyUSBN and parse the output. Looks to be of quality construction. There is other model that looks to offer 5 updates per second so if you need higher frequency then consider that. 1 update per second is more than enough for me.

Works as advertised
What L liked about this GPS is it's sensitivity while indoors. Am able to simultaneously sync up and lock into 11-13 satellites (GPS & GLONASS) while inside my house with this device. My use for this device is to synchronize my PC computer clock , at regular intervals. Couldn't be happier and have recommended this device to 3 other friends.
