interior pocket is a weird 7x10 inch size, with no padding or protection
This is an odd shaped "padfolio". It has one large pocket and several small ones. There is no stiffening or padding, just thick "genuine leather". Genuine leather is the cheapest grade of leather, made from scraps leftover after the quality pieces of top-grain and full-grain leather have been removed from the cowhide. The scraps are glued together to create this "genuine leather", so it looks and feels like a blend of leather and plastic. The large pocket is slightly too small to hold US standard 8.5x11 papers. Maybe the "padfolio" is designed for Asian or European papers??? While my 10 inch Android tablet does fit nicely in the pocket (without a case), I am not going to put it there because the pocket is not padded and I am afraid the metal snaps on the "padfolio" and any pens or other items I have in the other pockets will damage my tablet. The interior size of the big pocket is about 7x10 inches and maybe a quarter inch thick. If you need a folio to carry something that size that is not very fragile, this may be the product for you. Personally, I wish the pocket was more seriously padded and was big enough for 8.5x11 papers.

Very Useful Padfolio
The Filgate Padfolio Leather Multifunction Lightweight Business Portfolio Personalized is a nicely designed and good looking organizer. It is made with 100% genuine leather, black and soft to the touch. The padfolio has two metal snaps that keep the unit secure. The wallet expands out to 19.5 inches in length and 11 inches wide. It has 2 overlapping folds that reduce the size of the unit to 8 inches in length and 11 inches wide.Inside the folds, the padfolio has a large pocket (8 inches by 11 inches). This allows the carrier to put a note pad in it but is not large enough for standard 8.5 inches by 11 inches paper or folders. I insert a 9.5 inches by 6 inches spiral notebook here. On the outside of this pocket are 4 slit pockets, each 5.5 inches wide. Passports, transportation tickets and other documents, and my iPhone 7+ can be stored in each one, protected by the folds of the padfolio.Inside the back flap, there is a button down pen holder that keeps a pen/pencil secure. There are 3 slit pockets inside this flap that can hold credit cards, licenses, and business cards. Two smaller slits can be used for individual keys or coins. When folded and snapped, the padfolio can be expanded to about 4 inches and a paper book or electronic pad (like a small Amazon Fire) can be slid in and out of the space.I find that this padfolio is very useful when I travel and just use at home. It is easy to put it into a carry on, a computer carry case, or in the slot next to the front seat of a car. One thing I noticed is that Filgate calls the padfolio a “portfolio” in some descriptions. This may be misleading to some buyers because they may think it will hold unfolded standard size paper or file folders (8.5 inches by 11 inches) which it does not.

Pretty good, but would be better a bit bigger.
This folio feels like a shiny leather motorcycle jacket (and it's real leather, not PU, and pretty well made). It has: three slots that are the right size for business cards, four slots that are the right size for DVDs (with room for an envelope, but not a plastic jewel case), three pockets that are the right size for a typical thumb drive, and one large slot for papers and whathaveyou. So far so good. The folio also has what I guess was intended as a pen holder - that is, a leather flap that is designed to snap around a pen or pencil, and then snap into the folio. This is kind of cheesy, and I'd pretty much never use it for a writing implement (maybe for earbuds? That might be good). The folio is also just barely too small to snap closed around a legal pad (see picture). It would have been so, so much more perfect if it could have done that. So, 8x10 paper it is, but no 8.5x11. Sigh.

An Elegant Leather Padfolio
Filgate's padfolio is a nice offering. It is solid - and fragrant - leather and not only feels but looks, very good in the hand. It can - barely - fit an 8X10 notepad if you try very hard, but since I prefer the 5X8" size, it's not a hassle for me. You could fit an electronic pad of Kindle inside the pocket, though not with a cover on it, so that's not something I would do.I like this padfolio for use in the traditional way. I have a slender 5X8" pad inside, pens, and in the various pockets, a few paperclips, stick-on page markers, and a spare thumb drive. There are also spots for business cards and CDs/DVDs included. This padfolio is surprisingly heavy, but it looks good. It's perfect for times when I don't want to carry my computer. And when I am carrying my computer, this slips perfectly into the computer bag. I'm fairly happy with it.

Standard Legal Pad Will NOT Fit in this "Padfolio" -- Limited Functionality
I mis-read the details, although I still think it is a bit misleading to state the measurements at 11+" x 8+". The main interior pocket would fit a pad of paper approximately 9.75" x 7" (if there is such a size). It is floppy and having a stout piece of cardboard in the main slot would give this "padfolio" some stability. There are many slots inside for business cards, notes, and some slots I'm not sure what would fit in there... tiny post-its? The black leather feels nice and the snaps are responsive.I've never heard of a "Padfolio" and I'm feeling a little lame for not reading the info better - especially at (what I consider) a hefty price tag. Because of what I deem "limited functionality", I wouldn't consider gifting this or getting much use out of it.
