Beth at Her Best - a great DVD
If you like Beth Hart, you will LOVE this album. If you are new to Beth, this is a good one to start with (or, get the DVD, I got both). Beth Hart is among the today's top singers. This cd is mostly songs she wrote with a couple of tunes she did with Joe Bonamassa. It's a very good overview of her own career. Her longtime guitarist, Jon Nichols, is one of the best guitarslingers around. The DVD has great video and sound. She really controls the stage! This is the best video of her in concert since the Paradiso DVD.I started listening to Beth Hart about six years ago. I heard her first album with Joe Bonamassa and I was hooked on her voice. I've since bought everything Beth has produced. She is a fantastic songwriter and performer. If you have the blues like I did, her songs will definately lift your spirits and get you moving.

So Good!!!!!
Audio=10 Video=10 quality is superb. The mix is perfect. Beth Hart is one of the best and this definitely showcases that. The band is on fire. A must have for Beth Hart fans.

Excellent
I think this is a less doctored live album than we’ve heard from Beth before. It’s a bit raw as if less work was done to make it sound like a studio album — and all the more impressive for this reason! It’s not nearly as raw as Robert Palmer’s live products, but definitely less polished than her previous live projects. No fan will be disappointed!

Janis Joplin you are sorely missed
At 18, I had the privilege of seeing Janis Joplin in concert. I was close enough to touch her. I loved her throaty, southern Texas singing. I miss her. What has this to do with Janis Joplin. Beth Hart. She is uniquely talented. She delivers a smoky, raspy blues that makes me fall in love with blues all over again. She can sing blues softly, Sophie Tucker and Bess Smith style, Billy Holiday style, and the style of Janis Joplin. Beth Hart is singularly that voice that haunts you. Alone she is wonderful and that can be enough said. Let John Bonamassa accompany, with his unique playing and you have a world of blues seldom heard anymore. Buy this album and the wonderful Black Coffee album and you will have enough blues to digest for months. You will be in dreamland.

Beth at her very best
Truly a great performance from a lady who can truly sing not only the blues but any genre of music. Beth is exceptionally talented as a performer musician and obviously a vocalist I love and have every CD and DVD she has recorded and will be going to see Beth live at the Forum Theatre on 24th February I just cannot wait to see and hear one of the BEST ever female vocalists/songwriter/musician/performer of our time.

Wowsers - even better than I was expecting
First off - I'm biased, we were at the gig, we were always going to get this CD set and the dvd, and we were always likely to love it anyway. But, still... this is really REALLY good. We've listened to it twice since it arrived yesterday. The sound is SO good. Almost too good. But they've left it warts and all - including a lot of the between song chat. This really is what the band does live, just four people making this sound, no extras, no backing tracks. Her voice really is this stunning live: she sings, croons, screams... all apparently effortlessly and always perfectly in tune. She plays piano, guitar, and bass. Jon Nichols on guitar is amazing and unbelievably versatile. The rhythm section - what a rhythm section! Bill Ransom on drums, Bob Marinelli on bass. This wouldn't sound so good without what they do, they are so tight and so organic across all the styles she needs them to cover.I was actually in awe watching all four of them work off each other, and that vibe is still there on this recording.Songs-wise she covers all of her catalogue as well as you could expect in a couple of hours. On the night, I was so sorry that she didn't play Tell Her You Belong To Me. And then later I found out that it had been on the set-list, but she changes her mind in front of an audience, so... ho hum, can't have everything. Well, one of the songs that wasn't planned that night that she did do instead was Sister Heroine, and since last May I've been blaming that song for me not getting my favourite song. But... oh my goodness, I am so glad now that she did it. The version of Sister Heroine on here is spine-tingling, for me it's one of those "worth the price of admission alone" performances. There's actually a whole bunch of such performances on here, but that particular song stands out for me because it's the one that excluded the one I thought I wanted most. This album is SO much better than I was hoping for. I've always loved live albums but, often, for me, they're an "extra" in the artist's catalogue. Then there are some live albums that end up as important as the studio albums where most of the songs came from. I strongly suspect this could be one of the latter - it was a special night and they've managed to capture a lot of the magic on disc. It's maybe a bit long to listen to over and over again... and they did take 2 or 3 songs to relax from "good and professional" performances into "omigod these guys are incredible" showstopping performances... that didn't matter on the night, but on record it maybe does... but it is the entire show from one night, after all.If you already know and like Beth Hart - get in, you *have* to own this. If you don't know who she is, check it out online, she's released several tracks from it over the past weeks... and then get it!

Well worth the wait!
Where do I start. This really is a great & long-awaited DVD. Just Beth, 2 guitarists & a drummer; who needs more? The concert runs for just over 2 hours and gets better as the evening progresses. Out of 23 songs, only 4 were not written by Beth herself, The only complaint I have is with some of the audience (in the most expensive front stalls) who were more interested in taking selfies during her 2 walkabouts than engaging with her!!There’s also a fascinatingly frank & honest 30 minute interview with her too and well worth the watch. On a lighter note, Jon Nichols, lead guitar is trying to out-beard Billy Gibbons, Bob Marinelli, bass player is trying to out-tache Johnny Depp & Bill Ransom, drummer is trying to out-beret Samuel L Jackson! As good as her concert with Joe Bonamassa? Equally great but this new one has a very different, more laid back & personal feel about it. Enjoy!

Beth Hart Conquers London!
"Beth Hart - Live at The Royal Albert Hall" DVD pretty much covers Beth's career from her 1996 "Immortal" debut album to her latest 2016 "Fire On The Floor", as far as studio solo albums are concerned, - collaborations with other musicians as well as live performances are not being taken into account.A 23 song' setlist that will surely leave you, here and there, mesmerised and speechless, both thanks to that full blown tone of voice she possesses that fills a room in a stroke, as well as the personal touch that some of her songs carry, unveiling dramatic features of her own life. Such is the case with "Spiders In My Bed" or "Leave The Light On". Indeed, attending a Beth live show is not tantamount to just seeing a given favourite performer; on the contrary, one inevitably empathises and sympathises with her throughout the show. This was a show I wanted to attend, but that was not to be so in view of it being sold out by the time I sought a ticket. Had to compensate with Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome show, the following week, on the 12th of May. As in London's setlist, my favourite songs were played out too. "Leave The Light On", "Good As It Gets" or "Love Is A Lie", among others, simply made every penny of my Amsterdam ticket worth it! This DVD only enhances that experience, by allowing a vivid recollection of it every time I play it.As a late fan, I perceive Beth as an amazing Blues and Blues Rock singer/performer. Cherries on top? That sweet american accent, topped by the occasional "Janis Joplin touch".Five stars!

Great Performance & Great Sound Quality
Having heard some of Beth Harts other live albums it was a pleasure to not hear her music overshadowed by her bad language between tracks. This being the vinyl version the pressing is clean and quiet and looks stunning in red. With her normal great array of songs and top quality sound this album is top value. The sound is open and dynamic. The instruments are well placed and clear. Very hard to criticise at all. Being picky you can just bout tell where tracks have been spliced in. If you haven't heard of Beth Hart its a good place to start with a varied array of styles on displaySit back and enjoy the performance

Thank you Beth
What a smashing live CD this is. Who would have the talent and confidence to open the show with an accapelo, Beth Hart has. Beth truly engages with her audience. She allows us to come in and become part of her family. Beth has a very unique voice. With her band they play music like rock,blues/rock, gospel and many more forms of music. Aside from Beth's amazing voice, I really admire her because she tells us about her mental illness. This is a subject that many people treat as a taboo subject or is only spoken about in whispers. Thank you Beth for having this amazing talent and for speaking about mental illness.

Good but poor quality
As always good songs but they are all on other albums, but surprised by the poor quality of the recording especially as it was the Royal Albert Hall. I have better live recording of Beth Hart she is unique and this will not change my opinion of her.

This is simply the Beth.! She was just amazing in the DVD. Anybody who has seen this lady live will appeciate this production. We all know when Beth tilts her head back and moves that mic away from her, you know there's notes ready to lift the roof.
